Ryan tries to become more independent by taking a job at The Crab Shack, where he meets Donnie, an echo of his former past. Donnie invitates him to a party where a tough crowd will be in attendance, a point which worries Ryan and intrigues Seth. The party happens to be on the same night Ryan has a date with Marissa, having finally worked up the courage to ask her out.
