Chris and Snoop chase Michael Lee and Michael opens fire on them, but it turns out to be only paint--it was just a test. Landsman and Freamon investigate Lex's death. Mayor Carcetti is upset over the school deficit. Omar and Renaldo go with Cheese to meet with Marlo. Carcetti and Wilson go to the statehouse to visit the Governor. Prez goes to the assistant Principal to make a plea for Dukie. The teachers try to get the kids to focus on the upcoming state tests. Freamon goes to visit Col. Daniels and Rhonda Pearlman about the bodies and discovers that Landsman hasn't mentioned them. The Major Crimes squad reports to Freamon about what they've got on Marlo. The Mayor has to decide whether or not to take the state money for the school and turn over some control to the state.
