Jack tries to trace Morris' location, while Fayed uses harsh tactics to gain his cooperation. Lennox contemplates his resignation in the face of Wayne's rebuke, but Reed suggests an extreme course of action that may result in a change in leadership. Wayne meets with Assad and pressures him to publicly renounce terrorism.

Jack and Logan pay a visit to the Russian consulate, but Jack takes drastic action when Logan fails to learn Gredenko's location.

After shocking events at the Russian Consulate, CTU finds Gredenko and attempts to prevent further attacks on U.S. soil. As terrorists Gredenko and Fayed discuss their strategies, the Administration copes with the worsening situation during the ongoing power shifts. CTU commands newcomer Mike Doyle and Jack Bauer go on an intense field operation as the clock continues to race.

Jack relays critical information regarding Russian terrorist Gredenko, forcing CTU to respond immediately. Meanwhile, Vice President Noah Daniels challenges the Administration throughout an intense strategy and policy conference inside the Presidential bunker. The terror threat and investigation go into unforeseen directions and locations as well as a shocking development.

Risking his health, Wayne takes a stand that will force cooperation from the Middle East. Jack realizes he will not be able to break Fayed, so he and Doyle come up with a scheme to force Fayed to lead them to the location of the remaining nukes. But Fayed's ally engages in trickery that places the plan in jeopardy.


After Jack Bauer and Agent Doyle team up in an attempt to prevent the advancement of the terror threat facing the country, Jack is jarred from an unforeseen development. Meanwhile, CTU shifts its focus as President Wayne Palmer rattles the Administration and the terror threat escalates.

Lennox alerts the Vice President that CTU has spotted Phillip Bauer on satellite. Defense Secretary Kanin recommends to Daniels that an air assault would take out the entire oil platform leaving no trace of the component. Lennox is concerned that Josh would not survive an aerial attack, but Daniels believes the boy would be a necessary casualty to prevent an all-out war with Russia. He orders the F-18 planes to strike.
