Season 2 Episodes
Episode 1. The Wedding (Air Date: 04/04/2004)

Ofelia and Esteban celebrate their wedding in grand fashion with friends and family present. At the wedding, Conrado tells Jess that he is being sent overseas to Iraq.

Episode 2. The War Begins (Air Date: 04/11/2004)

Jess and Nina argue about the war; Conrado starts preparing for the first battle; Jess' grandmother comes to America.

Episode 3. The Farewell (Air Date: 04/18/2004)

Ofelia and Esteban come back from their honeymoon and find that the Gonzalez house is in complete chaos, as Nina has been thrown out by Jess. Meanwhile, Conrado attempts to save the lives of an Iraqi mother and child while dealing with the realities of war.

Episode 4. A Deal with God (Air Date: 04/25/2004)

Fearful over Conrado's safety in Iraq, Jess makes a deal with God to repent his sins in return for Conrado's safety. Meanwhile, Esteban investigates an incident of arson.

Episode 5. Doors to the Past (Air Date: 05/02/2004)

Jess is tormented by his past errors and tries to find his brother, Robert, whom he believes is homeless. Conrado continues to struggle with the war's conflicts in Iraq, while Esteban finds himself forced to repay a debt he owes to Shady. Meanwhile, Adela takes her children across the desert.

Episode 6. The Brother (Air Date: 05/09/2004)

Esteban's violent gang past comes back to haunt him when former gang leader Shady begins stalking him and his family. Meanwhile, Jess locates a homeless man he believes is his missing brother, Robert, and takes him home, but Dora is already quietly meeting with the man who is indeed her and Jess' long-lost brother.

Episode 7. Shadows (Air Date: 05/16/2004)

Alicia remembers her love affair with Conrado from several years ago when Ofelia tells her she is pregnant. Esteban goes to see Shady and tells him to leave his family alone. Meanwhile, in 1917, soldiers attack Adela and her children as they continue their trek north to America.

Episode 8. The Searchers (Air Date: 05/23/2004)

Jess and Cisco continue to search for Robert, but their car dies during the subsequent road trek. In the war, Conrado tries to save an Iraqi's life which causes conflict with his superior officers, while back at home, Esteban is implicated by Shady in a case of arson which brings to light their former gang relationship. Meanwhile, back in the 1990s, Esteban is arrested for a shooting, putting Alicia and Conrado's relationship in jeopardy.

Episode 9. The Burning Fire (Air Date: 05/30/2004)

Before Jess and Cisco reach the home of Robert, Jess has a scary experience while they are still passing through the desert. Conrado's unit in Iraq deals with the loss of a soldier, while America learns about a mounting hostage crisis in Iraq.

Episode 10. Victory (Air Date: 05/30/2004)

Esteban and Shady fight inside an abandonded building as it begins to burn around them. The Gonzalez family celebrates the close of the war in Iraq with a festive dinner, while back in 1917, Adela and her children are taken captive by the renegades.

Episode 11. The Child (Air Date: 05/30/2004)

Dora surprises Ofelia with a baby shower. Meanwhile, back in 1990, Alicia is told by Jess that Conrado is severing all ties with her after turning up at the Gonzalez residence, while in the Mexican Revolution, Evangelina and Roberto help serve food to the renegades.

Episode 12. The Night Sun (Air Date: 05/31/2004)

Jess awakens with blood on his clothes after his old war wound abruptly opens and sees Adela sitting nearby. Esteban, Ofelia, Cisco, and Pablito get their belongings together as they ready to move into the new home, while the family receives an untimely visit from Conrado's commanding officer, Major Hall.

Episode 13. The Flowers and the Songs (Air Date: 05/31/2004)

Esteban and Ofelia decide it would be best to stay with Jess at home following Conrado's burial, and Nina decides to make peace with Jess. Meanwhile, Jess receives a delayed letter from Conrado. Back in 1917, Adela and her children finally reach the United States.
