Season 1 Episodes

20 of the most famous (and infamous) contestants in BIG BROTHER history are introduced to America. The top 3 men and top 3 women voted for by America will be allowed to compete in the new season; the rest will be chosen by the producers.

Episode 2. Week 1: Jase, Janelle HoH (Air Date: 07/06/2006)

Host Julie Chen reveals that the contestant voting was so close, there will now be 14 participants instead of 12. The four women voted in, Janelle, Erika, Diane and Nakomis, are the first to enter the house and choose their bedroom.

Episode 3. Week 1: Janelle Wins PoV (Air Date: 07/11/2006)

For the Power of Veto competition, rather than the eviction nominees picking two players, they spin a wheel, which leads to Kaysar and George joining them in the game. The players must dive into a large dumpster and be the first one to find 6 PoV symbols; Janelle finished first and wins Power of Veto. At the veto ceremony, she decides to leave Alison and Danielle as the nominees.

Alison is the first houseguest evicted by a vote of 8-2. The next Head of Household competition involves the remaining houseguests guessing how new evictee Alison would have answered a series of questions. Kaysar beats Nakomis on the final question to emerge as the new Head of Household.

Kaysar and Erika flirt heavily and begin to develop feelings for each other. For the Food Competition, the houseguests are split into two teams of 6; they must use only their mouths to find rubber rats hidden in troughs filled with slop.

Episode 6. Week 2: Erika Wins PoV (Air Date: 07/18/2006)

Another random spin of the wheel determines the Power of Veto participants. The game involves hitting foam golf balls around a backyard course and hitting targets to add veto-balls to a player's tube; once the tube is filled, that player is eliminated. Erika lasts the longest and wins Power of Veto, but she decides not to use it.

Nakomis is evicted by a vote of 8-2. In the Head of Household competition, the players are shown images of events that have taken place in the house so far. They are then asked questions pertaining to those images and eliminated if they answer wrong. James beats Danielle in a tiebreaker and wins Head of Household.

The Food Competition involves rolling a bowling ball up a long ramp; if it reaches the top, the houseguests win a feast for that particular day, and if the ball falls short, it will roll into labeled areas corresponding to food groups (some good, some bad). The houseguests win feasts for the majority of the week and avoid the bad areas. James nominates George and Will for eviction.

This time, the three set Power of Veto players draw the names of the other three players out of a hat: Kaysar, Boogie and Jase. The competition involves six tasks that the players must choose to compete in; if they bow out, they are eliminated.

Jase is evicted from the household by a unanimous vote of 9-0. In the Head of Household competition, each player stands behind a podium with a buzzer. When they are asked a question, the first player who buzzes gets to answer; if the answer is correct, they may eliminate a player, and if they're incorrect, they are eliminated. Janelle lasts the longest and is awarded Head of Household for the second time.

For the Food Competition, the players are grouped into a boxing ring and must catch falling balls labeled with a star; whoever catches one gets normal food for the week and may tag another player to eat nothing but slop. Boogie, Howie, Kaysar, James and Danielle catch star balls, relegating everyone else (except HoH Janelle) to slop for the week. Janelle nominates Boogie and Erika for eviction.

The Power of Veto competition involves each player, after enduring a night of little sleep thanks to an alarm going off every 15 minutes, having to answer questions.

Diane is evicted by a vote of 7-1. For the Head of Household competition, the remaining houseguests position themselves on a large rope web; if any of their body parts touch the mats below, they are eliminated. Host Julie Chen then reveals a twist: everyday this week, a Golden Egg will be presented to a houseguest who voluntarily falls off the web; three eggs contain a great prize, and two are empty.

Will purposely drops from the web but finds one of the empty eggs. James follows suit and wins an eviction nullification pass good for the next week. Boogie falls next and uncovers an egg containing $10,000.

For the Power of Veto competition, each player is situated in a faux grave and must refrain from speaking or moving. They will be tempted with prizes and punishments and will earn points based on their choices; whoever earns the most points wins.

Kaysar is evicted by a vote of 5-1. The new Head of Household competition involves True or False questions about houseguests from past seasons. Erika lasts the longest in the contest and wins Head of Household. The "Coup d'Etat" power is revealed to the remaining players: whoever wins it will have the power to replace eviction nominees once in the next three weeks. The twist is that only the Coup winner will know that they have won this power.

Due to technical difficulties with the buzzers in the previous Head of Household competition, the event is replayed, with Janelle winning Head of Household for the third time.

In the Power of Veto competition, players from previous seasons compete in games against current players; if the current player wins, he/she can eliminate one of the houseguests from the game. James throws the competition in Danielle's favor, allowing her to win Power of Veto. She uses it to remove herself from the block, and Janelle nominates Marcellas in her place.

After three clues, Mike wins the Coup d'Etat power, which he may use in any of the next three eviction ceremonies. Marcellas is evicted by a vote of 6-0.

James wins the Power of Veto competition and elects to remove himself from the chopping block. George nominates Howie in his place, and Howie is evicted by a vote of 3-2. The Head of Household contest is another series of True or False questions. Boogie answers the most correctly and wins Head of Household.

Boogie nominates James and Janelle for eviction. The Power of Veto contest involves finding voodoo dolls in the "jungle" backyard and using them to answers questions about evictees. Janelle lasts the longest (with a little help from Boogie) and wins Power of Veto, which she uses to remove herself from the eviction block. Boogie replaces her with George.

Marcellas and Howie are shown as the first two jury members in the sequestered house. James is evicted from the house by a vote of 3-1. The Head of Household competition is another True or False game, with Erika lasting the longest and winning Head of Household for the first time.

The remaining houseguests win a lot of valuable items in the Food Competition, including a slop-free week, a trampoline, "Christmas in August" and alcohol. Erika nominates Janelle and George for eviction.

Neil Patrick Harris visits the house as a special guest for their "Christmas in August," where they all receive a variety of gifts. In the Power of Veto competition, partial images of evicted houseguests are flashed in front of individual players; the fastest player to correctly guess the evictees will win. Janelle wins her fourth Power of Veto, which she uses to once again save herself. Erika replaces her with Danielle.

Host Julie Chen informs the houseguests that an entire week of events will take place in the next hour. First, Danielle is evicted by a vote of 3-0. After a series of questions about past household events, Janelle wins her fourth Head of Household and nominates George and Erika for eviction. Erika barely beats Will to claim Power of Veto, which she uses to save herself. Janelle replaces her with Boogie, and George is evicted by a vote of 2-0.

The Head of Household involves answering a series of questions; Mike gets the most right and wins Head of Household, which he uses to nominate Erika and Janelle for eviction.

For the Power of Veto competition, the players must put the faces of evictees in order based on previous house events. Janelle finishes her puzzle first and wins Power of Veto, which she uses to save herself, leaving Boogie no choice but to nominate Will.

Boogie beats Janelle in Round 2 and faces Erika in the final round, where they have to complete statements made by evictees. Boogie answers more correctly and wins the final Head of Household, which he uses to evict Janelle, making him and Erika the final two in the competition.

Episode 29. Week 10: Mike Boogie Wins (Air Date: 09/12/2006)

The jurors quiz Boogie and Erika so that they can decide who to vote as the winner. Boogie and Erika make final speeches to the jury, and then it is time for the vote. Mike wins the game and $500,000 by a vote of 6-1, and Janelle is named America's Choice as the best player and awarded $25,000.
