Barb retreats into her own world after the debacle at the governor's mansion. Nicki and Margene are left to pick up the slack. Bill is determined to find out who betrayed the family and gathers evidence against a Home Plus employee, Wendy.
Bill and Don must repair the Home Plus billboards that have been damaged. This causes them to rethink their public image. Barb's check bounces when she registers for college classes. Alby wants to settle his vendetta with Roman. Ben tells Brynn the truth about his family and Sarah gets caught in a lie with Scott. Meanwhile, Bill and Barb forget Nicki's anniversary.
Bill and Nicki drive to Juniper Creek for a family reunion - and a council vote that Bill hopes to leverage against Roman in Joey's case. Arriving at Lois' cabin, they are surprised to find her brother Eddie in residence, overseeing Lois' new laundromat investment.
Bill's anxieties over his upcoming testimony in Joey's case are compounded by the presence of Rhonda, who threatens to blackmail Nicki into letting her stay with the Henricksons.
Discussing his sideline business with Don over lunch at a diner, Bill finds himself drawn to Ana, an attractive young waitress. Nicki worries over Wayne's enrollment at a Catholic school - which allows Bill and her to be a "public" couple - after discovering him playing with rosary beads.
Having uncovered Bill's romantic secret, Margene befriends an unsuspecting Ana, then arranges lunch with the unequally unsuspecting Barb and Nicki at the diner to introduce them to their prospective sister-wife.
Margene's mother Ginger pays a visit to the Henricksons revealing some insight to Margene's past. When Ginger learns about Margene's marriage she turns her back on Margene and embraces Nicki.
Bill is overloaded at work and Don is worried about Bill's involvement with the Greens. Nicki is upset that Bill missed another night with her. Lois discovers Frank has stolen her stash and he wants in on the action.
Nicki watches the news about her father's shooting. Bill tells Nicki he's interested in a company that involves gambling. Nicki supports him and offers to try to smooth things over with Barb and Margene.
Adaleen takes Alby and his wife to help her look for the missing cash. Alby believes someone broke in and uses the sign in sheet to figure out who it was.
Barb sees her mother's engagement announcement in the paper and decides to try to make peace with her estranged family. Bill offers Alby a seat on the board in exchange for Kathy.
