Buffy gets adjusted to college life, deals with a difficult roomate, and finds that a vampire group exists on campus.

Buffy's friends help her deal with her difficult roommate, Kathy, who has designs on Parker, the classmate that Buffy finds attractive.

Episode 3. The Harsh Light of Day (Air Date: 10/19/1999)

Spike returns to Sunnydale to find a powerful buried relic that has the ability to make vampires invincible.

Episode 4. Fear, Itself (Air Date: 10/26/1999)

The gang finds itself trapped in a haunted fraternity house during Halloween.

Episode 5. Beer Bad (Air Date: 11/02/1999)

Buffy starts drinking with a bunch of upperclassmen at the college bar.

Episode 6. Wild at Heart (Air Date: 11/09/1999)

Buffy learns that Oz is drawn to Veruca, a sexy female werewolf, and has escaped from his cage to be with her in the wild.

Episode 7. The Initiative (Air Date: 11/16/1999)

Spike is held captive by a commando unit in a high-tech laboratory underneath the university. Upon escaping, he searches for Buffy, whom he assumes is responsible for his kidnapping.

Episode 8. Pangs (Air Date: 11/23/1999)

Xander stumbles upon a Native American burial ground and accidentally releases an angry spirit during Thanksgiving, who, along with its warriors, wants revenge for the wrongs done to its people.

Episode 9. Something Blue (Air Date: 11/30/1999)

Willow's spell to help her get over Oz ends up causing havoc for everyone around her, especially Buffy, who falls in love with Spike and ends up engaged to him.

Episode 10. Hush (Air Date: 12/14/1999)

A group of demons steal the voices of Sunnydale's residents, leaving the town unable to voice the screams necessary to render the demons powerless. The demons use the situation to to begin taking human hearts.

Episode 11. Doomed (Air Date: 01/18/2000)

The gang returns to Sunnydale to stop a group of demons from ending the world. Buffy and Riley establish the parameters of their relationship.

Episode 12. A New Man (Air Date: 01/25/2000)

Buffy and Riley's romance begins to evolve. Giles is turned into a demon and, able to speak only in the demon's language, tries to evade Buffy.

Episode 13. The I in Team (Air Date: 02/08/2000)

With Buffy spending more and more time with Riley and the Initiative, she has less time for her friends. Meanwhile, Willow and Amber take tentative steps to strengthen their friendship.

Episode 14. Goodbye Iowa (Air Date: 02/15/2000)

Buffy tells Riley that Professor Walsh tried to kill her, followed by increasing wariness of one another when the professor is found dead. Riley also gets jealous upon spotting Buffy with Spike and then at Willy's.

Episode 15. This Year's Girl (Air Date: 02/22/2000)

Faith wakes from her coma and sets out for revenge. Meanwhile, Riley returns to Buffy and helps her start investigating the Initiative's nefarious purpose.

Episode 16. Who Are You? (Air Date: 02/29/2000)

Though Faith causes havoc in Buffy's life after she initiates a body switch, the vengeful Slayer finds herself sobered by what she experiences among Buffy's friends and family. Meanwhile, the Watchers' Council apprehends Faith to take her back to England, not realizing that it's really Buffy in Faith's body.

Episode 17. Superstar (Air Date: 04/04/2000)

As she tries to mend her relationship with Riley, Buffy starts to question how Jonathan became so super-accomplished and why everyone idolizes him.

Episode 18. Where the Wild Things Are (Air Date: 04/25/2000)

Buffy and Riley inadvertantly unleash the spirits of two repressed adolescents when they spend a large amount of intimate time together in the bedroom.

Episode 19. New Moon Rising (Air Date: 05/02/2000)

The relationship between Tara and Willow deepens, just as Oz returns to Sunnydale and tells Willow he's still in love with her and is now able to control his werewolf transformations. Enraged upon learning of Willow's new relationship, Oz loses control of his emotions and goes after Tara.

Episode 20. The Yoko Factor (Air Date: 05/09/2000)

Adam utilizes Spike in a plan to turn the gang against one another, leaving Buffy all by herself. Angel returns to apologize to Buffy for the battle over Faith, only he finds himself fighting with Riley for Buffy's heart instead.

Episode 21. Primeval (Air Date: 05/16/2000)

Buffy's distance from the rest of the gang threatens to halt Adam's plan to create a soldier unit of super human/demon hybrids like himself.

Episode 22. Restless (Air Date: 05/23/2000)

Having defeated Adam, Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Giles sit down to watch television, but soon find themselves in a dream world where the spirit of Tara is guiding them through their deepest fears.
