Family patriarch Pancho Duque announces that his health is failing, leading him to name a successor for the business from among his sons, and the outcome creates a rift in the family. Episode 7. One Man Is an Island (Air Date: 11/06/07)

Alex finds a way to recover from the loss of the ethanol deal and to save Duque Rum. In doing so, he discovers incriminating evidence against the Samuels. Elsewhere, Pancho tells the truth about his daughter's death to Frank. Alicia Keys has a cameo and performs “No One.” Terry: Rachael Carpani.
