Season 5 Episodes
Episode 1. Save Me (Air Date: 10:00 pm)

The neighborhood suspects a schizophrenic living in a halfway house in a local teenage girls murder. After much disagreement in the case, Woody and Lu begin to see eye to eye. While Macy questions Kaylas moving in as a foster child, Jordan is frustrated by the lack of support she is recieving from her friends.


The staff not only finds itself constrained by the circumstances surrounding Macy's removal from his post and Woody's near death experience, but also the rules instituted by the interim Chief Medical Examiner Jack Slokum. Woody steps outside of the system to try and bring to justice the culprit behind his attack. Slokum and Macy team up against either's best wishes.

Episode 3. Luck Be A Lady (Part 1) (Air Date: 10/02/2005)

Jordan turns to Danny McCoy, head of the Montecito casino's security, when a showgirl from the casino commits arson and suicide.

Episode 4. Under The Weather (Air Date: 10/09/2005)

The search is on for three missing boys during a long rain storm. Though sent home sick by Macy, Jordan decides to follow a lead and finds herself trapped in an abandoned mine.

Episode 5. Judgement Day (Air Date: 10/16/2005)

Jordan finds that the poor conditions of a prison may have led to an inmate's death. Lily is held hostage at a court house.

Episode 6. Enlightenment (Air Date: 10/23/2005)

Jordan and JD Pollack investigate a religious cult leader when his ex-wife and child are found dead. Woody has to see a psychologist to deal with his anger issues. A woman comes to the morgue seeking the sperm of her recently dead husband from Bug and Lily, but it turns out the woman is actually his mistress.

Episode 7. Total Recall (Air Date: 10/30/2005)

A body is found stabbed to death in the woods and a young man and former student of the deceased comes to Woody and takes responsibility for the murder. Woody's initial disbelief is put aside when the boy knows about the murder weapon.

Episode 8. Road Kill (Air Date: 11/27/2005)

Jordan and Woody turn to a serial killer for help in catcing a copycat killer.

Episode 9. A Man in Blue (Air Date: 12/04/2005)

Woody comes under scrutiny for planting evidence at a crime scene when an officer is shot in the line of duty.

Episode 10. Death Goes On (Air Date: 12/11/2005)

Jordan finds new clues to an old, long-gestating case when she investigates a body gone missing from a crime scene. Macy and Woody attempt to go after a mob hitman for a murder charge, but find themselves with little evidence to move on. Meanwhile, Lily finds herself the recipient of romantic advances by the shy Jeffrey Brandau.

Episode 11. Loves Me Not (Air Date: 01/08/2006)

Trapped by a snowstorm, Jordan and Woody try to discern who is responsible for the death of a haunted bed-and-breakfast guest.

Episode 12. The Elephant in the Room (Air Date: 01/15/2006)

Macy's run in with the law while driving under the influence affects his career. Body parts are found within a shark.

Episode 13. Code of Ethics (Air Date: 01/22/2006)

Jordan tries to balance her feelings for Woody and Pollack. While Jordan and Woody investigate the death of a soldier, Nigel believes that a dead man's son may have actually been his ages old kidnap victim.

Episode 14. Dreamland (Air Date: 01/29/2006)

Macy and team search for Abby after they find her boyfriend dead in a drug-related gang shooting.

Episode 15. Death Toll (Air Date: 03/12/2006)

A bomb goes off on a crowded subway train, injuring and killing passengers which include children. It is discovered however, that another is set to go off somewhere in the city.

Episode 16. Blame Game (Air Date: 03/19/2006)

Jordan investigates a brush forest fire that escalated and killed several firefighters. Meanwhile, Macy's daughter considers vacating her stint in rehab.

Episode 17. Someone to Watch Over Me (Air Date: 03/26/2006)

Jordan struggles with her past when she looks into the case of a murdered man whose daughter is the target of a death plot. Meanwhile, Dr. Macy is given some interference by a wealthy family grieving for a lost son.

Episode 18. Save Me (Air Date: 04/09/2006)

Episode 19. Thin Ice (Air Date: 04/16/2006)

When a pro ball player is accused of rape, things get pretty crazy as the two detectives check out his alibi. Jordan and Lu don't see eye to eye on this one, and eventually Jordan is taken off the case for obstruction of justice. Nigel is desperately trying to find the family of a fighter pilot, while bug assist him in dealing with the relationship, or lack thereof, he has with his father.

Episode 20. Mysterious Ways (Air Date: 04/23/2006)

When a supposed miracle worker and living saint is murdered, Jordan investigates, but she's the one being interrogated when Woody and Lu confront her about her feelings regarding there relationship. Lily makes some drastic changes after getting some guidance from Macy about both her relationship and career. Meanwhile Bug believes he's right about the death of man he believes was turning his life around.

Episode 21. Mace Vs. Scalpel (Air Date: 04/30/2006)

While delivering to his family the personal items of a deceased man, Macy finds a boy being held captive, but when the boy’s captor realizes he's been discovered, he knocks Macy unconscious. When Macy wakes up, he realizes he has been taken hostage as well and is now in a basement. Determined to free both himself and the young boy, Macy tries to buy himself some time. Meanwhile, Lily is caught off guard when she runs into Bug while on a date.

Episode 22. Don't leave me this way (Air Date: 05/07/2006)

Jordan finds herself in an unexpected situation that will challenge her both professionally and personally. After celebrating Lily's engagement and pending nuptials, Jordan wakes up the next morning next to the dead body of her former beau J.
