Kevin and Tiffany begin to overspend on luxury items for the salon, which causes them to neglect much-need repairs, prompting the building inspector to threaten to keep the salon from opening altogether. When the pair needs more money and are rebuked by Tiffany's father, Jack Sherwood, the salon staff members must take it upon themselves to ready the business for its grand opening.
Kevin quits his position at Cuts when everyone decides they like Tiffany's laid-back management style more than his stern approach. When the staff quickly takes too many liberties with her approach, though, Tiffany tries to get Kevin to come back.
Tiffany hires a publicist for Cuts, but when the spa becomes the talk of the town, the place begins to see a broader clientele and the staff begins to get swelled heads. Soon, however, Tiffany and Kevin realize that in the process, they have driven away the old faithfuls from the neighborhood.
Tiffany brings her boyfriend, a working class guy, to dinner with her father, but her old, upper-crust boyfriend shows up and wants her back. Meanwhile, Kevin and Walt try to impress two shallow dates by pretending to be rich.
Tiffany is seduced once more by her wealthy ex-boyfriend, Harrison, and reconnects with the good life, which has the effect of making her work performance more erratic. Kevin, meanwhile, decides to make some more masculine changes to the salon in her absence.
While trying to save money for the salon, Kevin unknowingly buys some different spa oils which turn out to be a powerful aphrodisiac and create some interesting happenings in the salon.
When Kevin starts bonding with Jack, Tiffany suddenly gets a strong case of jealousy and decides to bond with Jack as well, which results in her competing with Kevin for Jack's attention.
Kevin and Tiffany decide to mentor two teenagers, but both must reexamine their system of values when the teens follow their lead and end up in some trouble.
After a fight with her father, Tiffany moves out of his house and onto Kevin's couch.
