Susan cares for Mike, who is in a coma. While at the hospital she meets Ian, a man caring for his wife who is also in a coma. Orson proposes marriage to Bree, who accepts.
On Susan and Ian's first date, his wife's parents show up and he lies about who Susan is. Lynette tries to find Nora a boyfriend to keep her occupied.
Bree and Orson are at the airport, about to depart on their honeymoon, when a news report airs showing Andrew living on the street and eating out of dumpsters.
Susan is shocked when her romantic vacation in the country with Ian is interupted by a phone call telling her that Mike has woken up from his coma. Unfortunately, Mike has no recollection of the past two years, and Edie Britt is helping him remember.
After Bree tries to stop her affair with her history teacher, Danielle attempts to kill herself. Orson has an outburst, so Bree decides to enroll them in family therapy.
Lynette finds out that Tom leased a restaurant without asking her. When Nora finds out that they have argued, she attempts to make a move for Tom. Tom rejects Nora and happily reunites with Lynette. Gabrielle tries to seduce Carlos when she learns that he got a new job. Susan professes her love for Ian. Caroline Bigsby and her husband apologize to Bree and Orson.
Lynette dreams about the last time she saw Mary Alice. Nora tells Lynette and Tom that she is moving to Mexico to be an exotic dancer, and is taking Kayla with her.
Lynette arrives home from the hospital. She asks Art to come speak to her son Parker about how Art saved her in order to quell Parker's fears. But then she sees pictures of young boys on the walls of Art's house.
Lynette and Tom report Art to the police, but the police won't do anything. Lynette tells the town gossip. Gabrielle helps teach a class for young aspiring beauty queens.
Ian asks Susan to meet his parents and make them dinner. Unfortunately, Susan can't cook, so she asks Bree for help. Mike is arrested for murder. Edie breaks up with him. Susan tries to come to his rescue by finding something incriminating on Orson. Gabrielle falls for the father of one of the girls that she is coaching. Meanwhile, when the town turns against Art, Lynette wonders if she hasn't jumped to conclusions.
Alma Hodge shows up on Bree's doorstep. Bree decides to throw a dinner party to introduce her to everyone on Wisteria Lane. Julie struggles with her physical feelings toward Austin. Gaby accuses Carlos of sabatoging her new relationship. Lynette gives Kayla special treatment and Kayla walks all over her.
Orson tries to convince Alma not to move to Wisteria Lane. When Susan won't talk to Julie about sex, Julie asks Edie to help her get birth control. Susan finds out and confronts Edie. Gabrielle discovers that her secret admirer is wealthy Zach Young. After being told she can't see the pizzeria until after it's opening, Lynette sneaks in and finds that the restaurant can't get its liquor license.
Pizzeria Scavo prepares for its grand opening. Lynette decides to quit her job and work as manager of the restaurant. Alma and Gloria come up with a devious plan to ruin Orson and Bree's marriage. Gaby can't get away from Zach, her secret admirer.
Mike starts to remember his past, and realizes he didn't kill Monique. Orson tells Bree the truth about how Monique died. He tells Alma and his mother that Bree forgives him.
Everyone celebrates the grand opening of the Scavo pizzeria, which goes off with only a minor hitch- Lynette made an ordering mistake and there are no chairs.
The late Rex Van De Kamp narrates. Edie's ex-husband unexpectedly drops off their son with her. Edie tries to pawn him off on Carlos for a night. Tom tries to plan a surprise for Lynette's anniversary.
Susan meets Ian's parents for the first time, and finds out some family history she'd rather not know. Ian asks her to sign a pre-nuptual agreement. Gabrielle's clothes closet is ruined by water damage.
Ian and Susan get into a car accident and Mike is there to help. Ian asks Susan to move with him to London, and Susan wonders if it is because of Mike.
During a power outage Gaby and Victor share a passionate moment in an elevator that ends up on the front page of the news, Mrs McClusky gets injured and sent to the hospital, and the Scavos' pizzeria gets some new menu items. Gaby tries to help Victor clear his name by agreeing to marry him, Mrs McClusky worries that her secret will get revealed, and Tom tries to regain control of his restaurant from his bed.
At Gaby's engagement party Edie admits that she has been seeing Carlos. Gaby tries to make Susan and Lynette give Edie the cold shoulder. With Lynette spending a lot of time at the restaurant, Kayla and Tom get suspicious.
While Lynette and Rick are having dinner in the restaurant, Scavo Pizzeria is robbed and they are forced to spend the night together in the walk-in freezer.
Mike and Susan get engaged. Susan wants to have their wedding on the same day she had planned it with Ian, but Gaby already reserved the date for hers.
Gaby hears that Victor wants to run for governor. Upset and frustrated, she calls off the wedding. The next morning, Victor's father visits Gaby and apologizes for pressuring Victor to run.
