Season 4 Episodes

A surprise marriage takes place; Nina chooses between Andy and Jake; and Bright looks for a roommate. To aid his search, Amy tells her brother to consider a cute med student (Justin Baldoni) she met while taking care of her mom.

Episode 2. The Next Step (Air Date: 10/06/05)

Nina opens Sam's, her new restaurant, and the townsfolk aren't happy with the changes she made to Mama Joy's. Meanwhile, Hannah freaks out when Bright says he's not good at commitment; and Harold worries that Andy's new undertaking could affect their partnership.

Episode 3. Put on a Happy Face (Air Date: 10/13/05)

Bright uncharacteristically declines an invite to a college party. Meanwhile, Jake angrily tells Andy he knows Andy kissed Nina; Harold deals with intimacy issues; and Amy struggles with the loneliness of life as a college freshman.

Episode 4. Pieces of Me (Air Date: 10/20/05)

Ephram gives piano lessons to a brash teen musician (Steven R. McQueen, grandson of the legendary actor). Elsewhere, Rose campaigns for mayoral reelection; an elderly patient is hesitant about having brain surgery; and Delia wants to have her Bat Mitzvah. Max: Joseph Bologna. Betty: Renee Taylor.

Episode 5. Connect Four (Air Date: 10/27/05)

Andy hopes to bond with Ephram when they go on Harold and Bright's annual father-son camping trip. Elsewhere, Reid invites Amy to a Halloween function; Edna is irked that Jake is starting to specialize in cosmetic medicine; and Bright faces a tough decision regarding his relationship with Hannah after she tells him she doesn't believe in premarital sex. Episode 6. Free Fall (Air Date: 11/03/05)

Nina wants Andy and Jake to work out their differences and suggests they talk to a therapist; Amy wonders why Reid is blowing her off; Rose struggles to fill the void created by her mayoral defeat; and Ephram spends a day bonding with Kyle (Steven R. McQueen).

Episode 7. Pro Choice (Air Date: 11/10/05)

Hannah's mom (Jayne Brook) visits and brings news about her husband. Elsewhere, Ephram catches Amy kissing Reid; and Andy treats a patient (Keith David) who needs a kidney transplant, but refuses to take one from his daughter (Gina Ravera).

Episode 8. So Long, Farewell... (Air Date: 11/17/05)

Amy and Bright weigh ideas to make Hannah's last night memorable; Andy and Harold consider activities to match Jake's mountain biking, which takes a bad turn. Cliff: Simon Rex. Diane: Jayne Brook.

Episode 9. Getting to Know You (Air Date: 12/08/05)

Jake confesses a slipup to his brother; Delia pushes Andy into online dating; Hannah's self-image brings forth evolution in Bright; and Ephram flinches at being Amy's confidant. Brian: Tom Parker. Brittany: Whitney Lee. Courtney: Victoria Justice. Thalia: Aree Davis.

Episode 10. Ghosts (Air Date: 03/27/06)

Ephram and Amy must sort out how their night together now affects their relationship, while Nina comes to a decision regarding her future with Jake; Andy fumes over how he's portrayed in Irv's novel, and also is stressed out by Delia's growing anger towards him; and Ephram sees parallels between his life and Kyle's beyond their shared love of the piano. Episode 11. Lost and Found (Air Date: 03/27/06)

Inspired by her activist teacher, Laurie Fields (Leslie Hope), Amy volunteers at Planned Parenthood, but her zeal in trying to get Hannah involved causes the friends to clash; Edna suffers panic attacks while Irv's away on his book tour; Ephram receives news that his piano mentor, Will Cleveland, has died; and Rose and Harold's adoption plans are put on hold when Harold questions whether he's fit for the responsibilities.


Nina feels inadequate and clumsy trying to help Jake, so she invites Andy to dinner as a buffer; Amy asks her dad to teach the abortion procedure to her school's med students; Andy treats Delia's rabbi (Mark Elliot Silverberg) for a dislocated shoulder and suspects his clumsiness is caused by a medical condition; and Ephram helps Kyle, who wants to get together with his visiting father, but knows that it would upset his mother if she found out. Episode 13. An Ounce of Prevention (Air Date: 04/10/06)

A young woman (Brooke Nevin) with a history of cancer in her family comes to Andy to be tested for the breast-cancer gene; Ephram pushes Kyle into something that causes emotional trauma for the teen and leads to a revelation; Hannah and Bright find their relationship is in a rut; and Andy goes on a date with Laurie. Episode 14. Across the Lines (Air Date: 04/17/06)

Jake and Andy save a man (Ryan Hurst) who crashed his car while driving drunk, and they disagree when Jake doesn't want to report the man to the police; Harold comes home and finds Rose smoking marijuana with a man (Jon Lindstrom) from her cancer support group; Ephram gives advice to Reid, who's having trouble with his grades, but it ends up adding to Reid's problems; and Bright, Hannah and Amy have a fight over Hannah's passive nature. Episode 15. The Land of Confusion (Air Date: 04/24/06)

Bright makes a mistake that threatens his relationship with Hannah; Kyle gets a Juilliard audition and Andy, knowing this news triggers feelings of regret in Ephram, encourages his son to try another music school; Nina tells Andy she wants to propose to Jake; and Amy reluctantly brings Laurie (Leslie Hope) to her parents' house for dinner. Episode 16. Truth... (Air Date: 05/01/06)

Ephram finds out about Bright and Ada, and ponders what his next move should be with that information; Irv's estranged daughter shows up at his book signing; Reid gets devastating news from his med-school advisor; Harold asks Andy not to reveal Rose's cancer to the social worker from the adoption agency; Amy tries to repair things with Hannah, who plans a hiking trip with Bright.

Episode 17. All the Lonely People (Air Date: 05/08/06)

Ephram finds Reid passed out from an overdose of pills in a suicide attempt; Bright feels the weight of his indiscretion and searches for a way to heal his relationship with Hannah; Laurie invites Amy on a trip to Washington, D.C., but a chance meeting with Laurie's daughter (Lea Moreno) has Amy rethinking her idolization of the professor; and Nina has dinner with the Browns while Jake's on a trip to L.A. and feels even more torn between her feelings for Jake and Andy.

Episode 18. Enjoy the Ride (Air Date: 05/15/06)

While Bright broods over losing Hannah, he has to deal with Reid's return from the hospital; Reid seems strangely upbeat, asking Amy on a date, which turns into a group bowling night that includes Hannah and a guy (Chris Egan) Amy sets her up with; Harold cares for a pregnant woman suffering from schizophrenia, but he's more concerned for the woman's husband (Justin Kirk), who he fears has serious health problems; and Delia asks Andy to reschedule her Bat Mitzvah. Episode 19. Reckoning (Air Date: 05/22/06)

Andy's estranged father (Charles Durning) shows up in Everwood unexpectedly, which surprises Andy, who carries a deep anger for his dad. Andy's pain is compounded by Nina's news that she's leaving with Jake to live in L.A.. Meanwhile, Ephram throws a birthday party for Bright, who has sunken into a depression over Hannah; Ephram meets someone new (Luciana Carro) and invites her to the party; and Hannah goes on a date with Nick (Chris Egan). Episode 20. Goodbye, Love (Air Date: 05/29/06)

The townspeople reminisce as they gather for the funeral of a beloved friend; Ephram reveals information about his dad to Nina that surprises her and adds a new twist to her inner Andy-or-Jake struggle; Andy finds more of a connection with his dad (Charles Durning), who's still in town; Amy and Ephram recall a moment from their past that helps Amy realize that Ephram is always there for her; and Hannah and Bright come together as friends, realizing that there's still a close bond between them.

Episode 21. Foreverwood (Air Date: NA)

In Part 1 of the two-part series finale, the Browns prepare for Delia's Bat Mitzvah; Nina and Jake pack up to leave Everwood; Nina tells Hannah about the ring Andy bought, setting in motion a comedy of errors with dramatic consequences; Amy becomes jealous of Stephanie and realizes what she may have lost; the Abbotts find an unusual surprise on their doorstep that alters their life. Episode 22. Foreverwood (Air Date: NA)

Conclusion of the series finale. Andy lets Nina stay at the house and makes a decision regarding his love for her; Amy decides that she has to do something dramatic to let Ephram know how she feels about him; and Hannah surprises Bright with a decision she's made regarding college.
