Season 4 Episodes
Episode 1. The One With The Jellyfish (Air Date: 09/25/1997)

Ross chooses Rachel over Bonnie and Phoebe learns the truth about her mother. Also, when Monica gets stung by a jellyfish, she resorts to drastic measures to make the pain go away.

Episode 2. The One With The Cat (Air Date: 10/02/1997)

Phoebe thinks that a cat is the reincarnated spirit of her mother. Also, Joey and Chandler decide to sell their oversized entertainment unit, but wind up getting robbed. Plus, Monica goes out with Rachel's high school prom date and realizes that he hasn't grown up.

Episode 3. The One With The 'Cuffs (Air Date: 10/09/1997)

Chandler dates Rachel's boss and ends up getting handcuffed to a chair in her office. Also, Monica caters her mother's party and loses a fake nail in one of the quiches.


To keep Rachel and Monica from being evicted, Joey agrees to be the superintendent's practice ballroom dancing partner. Also, Phoebe desires one of her massage clients and Chandler tries to quit his gym.


Chandler falls in love with a woman who is dating Joey.


Ross dates a beautiful paleontologist without a flaw, except that she's a slob.


Chandler kisses Joey's girlfriend and struggles over whether he should tell him.


Chandler spends most of Thanksgiving in a box to make up to Joey for kissing Kathy. Also, Monica injures her eye but doesn't want to see Richard, so she winds up seeing his very cute son.


Monica is offered a job as head chef and has to choose between that and her catering business with Phoebe. Also, Ross and Chandler plan to party with an old friend but when he cancels, they have to fend for themselves.


Ross dates a girl from Poughkeepsie but is having a hard time with the long distance. Meanwhile, after Rachel tells Chandler she's looking to have a fling with someone, he sets her up with a guy from his office. Also, Monica hires Joey as a waiter she can fire in order to help her get respect at work.


Phoebe's brother and his wife ask Phoebe to be a surrogate mother.

Episode 12. The One With The Embryos (Air Date: 01/15/1998)

Phoebe has the embryos implanted in her uterus so she can be a surrogate mother for her brother and his wife. Also, Monica and Rachel compete against Joey and Chandler in a trivia game based on their lives, and the guys end up winning the girls' apartment.


At work, Rachel becomes a personal shopper and wants to gout out with the cute guy she is helping. Also, Chandler suspects that Kathy is having an affair with her co-star and Monica does her best to make her new apartment the hostess-friendly place her old one was.


Joey goes to work on a new movie smelling like fish, so he uses Charlton Heston's shower to clean up. Also, Ross take's Emily - Rachel's boss's niece - on a date. Plus, trying to get over his breakup, Chandler goes to a strip club with Monica and Phoebe.


Not wanting to look bad in front of Emily, Ross agrees to play rugby with her friends. Also, Chandler runs into Janice and she refuses to leave his side, so he pretends he's being transferred to Yemen.


Rachel throws a party for Emily so that she can invite Joshua. Also, a pregnant Phoebe has cravings for meat.


Joey and Chandler accidentally receive a porn channel for free and won't turn it off for fear of losing it. Also, Ross goes to London to tell Emily he loves her, and Phoebe learns she's carrying triplets.


When Rachel is caught in her negligee at Joshua's parents' house, she tells them it's a new dress and winds up wearing it to dinner. Meanwhile, Ross gets nervous when Emily and Susan are in London together. Also, Joey and Chandler become rivals when Phoebe is asked to name one of the babies she's carrying and they each want the baby named after them.


Ross asks Emily to marry him. Also, Rachel and Monica take their apartment back while Chandler and Joey are out and in order to keep it, they offer to kiss each other for a full minute.


Monica can't resist wearing Emily's wedding dress after she picks it up. Also, Joey enters a sleep clinic to help with his snoring and Rachel scares Joshua away.


As Ross ponders sending Rachel an invitation to his wedding, flashbacks are shown of Ross and Rachel's relationship.


After Ross chooses Joey to be his best man, Joey loses Ross' wedding ring. Also, the girls throw Phoebe a baby shower.


Ross, Monica, Joey, and Chandler go to London for the wedding, leaving a very pregnant Phoebe and Rachel home. In London, wedding plans go awry, while Joey and Chandler go sight-seeing.
