Episode 1. Pilot (Air Date: 09/20/2002)

A hardworking father finally receives a promotion that allows him to move his family to a nice suburb of Tuscon. Fifteen-year-old son, David, struggles to fit in with his family and with his new surroundings especially when his beautiful neighbor invites him to the school dance.

Episode 2. My Two Padres (Air Date: 09/27/2002)

When David and Sarah end up drunk at a party, they fear their father's wrath, so they call their Uncle Ernesto for a ride instead.

Episode 3. Driving (Air Date: 10/04/2002)

David promises to drive Sarah to a concert before he has his driver's permit.

Episode 4. Work Ethic (Air Date: 10/11/2002)

David's father arranges for him to be a golf caddy at a local country club but David goes behind his dad's back and takes a cushy lifeguarding job instead.

David follows Ernesto's advice and tries out for the football team in an effort to become more popular.

A game of truth or dare at Maria's slumber party lends David the chance to ask out a cheerleader. But when the two actually start dating, Maria does her best to sabotage their relationship.

Joaquin goes to great lengths to prove that Elizabeth's new job at a bank will have a negative impact on their kids' lives.

Ernesto allows his friend's band to play in the garage but is shocked when Joaquin tries to become their lead singer.

Elizabeth and Ernesto take on more shifts at work when a strike Joaquin leaves with more at-home time. David turns to his father for advice on his feelings for Sarah.

David wishes he hadn't asked Maria to help him convince Joaquin to buy him a car when, with the help of a saleswoman, she convinces him to buy her a car instead.

When David reveals Maria's secret lying habit to their parents, she gets even by ruining his special night with Sarah.

Episode 13. Family Honor (Air Date: 01/31/2003)

Sarah tells Maria's dance date she is planning on ditching him for someone else, prompting Maria's plan to interrupt the one-month anniversary dinner David has planned for Sarah.

Maria fears telling Joaquin about her new boyfriend.

Episode 15. Student Council (Air Date: 02/14/2003)

Joaquin runs David's campaign for student body president. Ernesto convinces Daniel to fake an injury so he can get closer to an attractive physical therapist.

Elizabeth asks everyone to behave themselves while her parents come for a visit, but resisting the chance to tease one another proves difficult.

Episode 17. Breakup (Air Date: 04/04/2003)

David and Sarah break up over a petty argument, after which time he starts dating Sarah's cheerleader friend. Meanwhile, Elizabeth sets Ernesto up with a co-worker.

After Joaquin allows Maria to get her own apartment, she quickly learns that independence is not all it's cracked up to be.

Episode 19. My Friend Mom (Air Date: 04/18/2003)

Maria and Elizabeth argue over what Maria thinks is Elizabeth's favoritism towards David. Meanwhile, when Ernesto becomes a security guard at a Vince Neil concert, his advice to the rocker causes him to walk out on his sold-out concert.

Episode 20. The First Time (Air Date: 04/25/2003)

Ernesto hires a tough biker babe to work on his newly-acquired old trailer, secretly hoping she'll become interested in him instead of the trailer. Meanwhile, David and Sarah plan to have sex for the first time, only to find themselves in an embarrassing situation with Joaquin and Elizabeth.

Episode 21. Sibling Rivalry (Air Date: 05/02/2003)

When David embarrasses Maria at her 18th birthday party, Elizabeth and Joaquin begin to worry that their kids will never get along and send them to see a priest in hopes of healing the relationship.

Episode 22. Eegee's vs. Hardee's (Air Date: 05/09/2003)

David is forced to choose between Sarah and the new group of friends that don't like her. Meanwhile, when the family becomes skeptical of Ernesto's new girlfriend, David tries to rid him of the notion that he's fallen in love.
