Paula gets ready for the Grammys, but her dog tries to eat the million dollar ring she was going to wear. After the show, Paula hurries to catch a red-eye and nearly misses her flight. She arrives and heads to QVC to see her jewelry designs, but they are not what she expected and must be changed.
Paula heads to NYC for a week of meetings and events. She attends the Young Menswear Association Fashion Scholarship Fund for Parson School of Design annual dinner where she receives the Fashion Icon Award. After her week of meetings and little sleep, Paula has the flu and must do a series of satellite interviews for "American Idol."
Paula calls an emergency meeting with her staff to determine how to deal with the lies about her in the press. Publicist Jeff comes up with an idea. Paula spends some time with her best friend and hairstylist Daniel relaxing. Jeff goes with Paula to Vegas where she accepts the Woman of the Year award from the Nevada ballet. She faces the press for the first time since the satellite interview fallout.
Paula is supposed to host the IDA charity event benefiting animal victims of Katrina, but because of "American Idol" she is late and the benefit has to start without her.
Paula is stuck in Philadelphia due to a blizzard and worries she won't make it to New York in time for her appearance on David Letterman. To help herself relax she plays a prank on her assistants and then goes shopping. She arrives in New York and hurries to get ready to go on the air.
Paula asks Daniel to help her decorate the house she's going to rent while her home is being remodeled. Daniel and Deb, the interior decorator, tour the house and get furniture in. However, when Paula arrives, she hates it and calls Deb to complain. She changes her mind about having her place remodeled and gets rid of the rental house and moves home.
Paula auditions dancers for her new project. She continues to deal with her chronic pain which is made worse after she trips over one of her dogs and hurts her nose. She does an interview with Billy Bush and meets with producer Peter Lord to discuss getting back into music. Meanwhile, Paula's boyfriend throws her a birthday party.
