Season 9 Episodes
Episode 1. A Rover Runs Through It (Air Date: 11/07/2004)

Peggy tries to work through her mother's disapproval on a trip home to visit her family in Montana. Bobby takes a liking to horseback riding. Hank spends time with Henry Winkler.

Episode 2. Ms. Wakefield (Air Date: 12/19/2004)

The Hill Family gets a visit from Ms. Wakefield who was the former resident of their house.

Episode 3. Death Buys a Timeshare (Air Date: 01/16/2005)

Cotton and Bill head to Mexico after Cotton inherits $10,000 from his deceased friend Topsy. Cotton is soon lulled into buying a timeshare down there after a wistful chat with the development owner. Meanwhile, Peggy, Dale, and Bobby attempt to find a swimming pool they can use for a dip.

Episode 4. Yard, She Blows (Air Date: 01/23/2005)

Peggy wants to put her imprint on Hank's perfect lawn with a garden gnome, much to Hank's chagrin.

Episode 5. Dale to the Chief (Air Date: 01/30/2005)

Dale switches his conspiracy-theory tune and starts marching to a pro-American beat. Hank tries to get his driver's license fixed when it lists him as a female, but faces a battle of epic red tape proportions.

Episode 6. The Petriot Act (Air Date: 02/13/2005)

Hank is suprised and a bit disappointed when the pet they agree to watch for a soldier is a cat and not a dog. The cat wreaks havoc around the Hill house which is especially tough because Bill received a very well-behaved dog. Hank and family have to sacrifice their vacation because of the expensive veterinary costs.


Hank finds himself spending a lot more time with his co-worker Enrique when Enrique starts having problems with his marriage. Hank has his own problems dealing with Enrique's emotional state and decides, against his better judgment, to help sort things out.

Episode 8. Mutual of OmAbwah (Air Date: 03/06/2005)

Hank and Bobby fret over what could happen to the Hill house in the days that it's not covered by insurance. Dale takes to raising bees.


Hank tries to help an elderly field keeper maintain his position even after the condition of the field forces the football team to cancel a game. Luanne falls for a trucker.

Episode 10. Arlen City Bomber (Air Date: 03/27/2005)

Luanne takes on a second job as a roller derby team member in an effort to cut into her debt. Peggy joins her on the team and hatches a plan to purchase the team. Lucky and Bobby take a journey to eat the freshest corn chips.


John Redcorn tries to convince Hank to hire his band for the company fun day that Hank has been put in charge of. After this defeat, Redcorn decides to open a casino so that he'll have a permanent venue. His plan hits a snag when the police inform him that there is no Indian gaming in Texas.

Episode 12. Smoking & The Bandit (Air Date: 04/17/2005)

Dale takes up the cause of smokers when smoking is banned in all Arlen bars and restaurants by making appearances as the Smoking Bandit.

Episode 13. Gone With the Windstorm (Air Date: 05/01/2005)

Nancy enlists help to get her position with Channel 84 back after an actual meteorologist bumps her out, so Nancy, Peggy and Dale steal a news van to cover a wildfire. Bobby faces off against a bully who makes a habit of scaring him.

Episode 14. Bobby on Track (Air Date: 05/08/2005)

Bobby joins the school track team on Hank's request. Though Bobby is initially used by the coach as a way to encourage the other runners to do better, he takes up the slack left in a open track finals slot.


Bill tries to feel like he belongs by joining an all-male chorus. Peggy takes on Bobby at Pong.
