A double murder leads to a woman and her stepmother who have an extradition problem with Canada.

A young high school girl is found severely beaten and tied to a tree in the middle of Central Park. The Detectives find evidence that leads them straight to a Hitler youth gathering.

While investigating a textbook shooting on the shores of the Hudson River, an NYPD diver fishes up a 1968 Volkswagen bus with the remains of a young man's bones still in side. The reopened case leads the detectives back to a controversial university uprising from the 1960's.

Episode 12. Haven (Air Date: 02/10/1999)

Two young boys find the body of a community leader in his Harlem Community Center. Briscoe and Curtis investigate and discover he may have been involved in dirty politics. A race is on to convict the correct murderer before political ties turn the community completely upside-down.

The detectives try to beat bounty hunters to the murderer of a parolee.

Episode 14. Sideshow (Air Date: 02/17/1999)

The body of a woman found murdered turns out to be a Washington DC resident and the detectives work with allies from Baltimore in tracking down the killer. The District Attorney's department runs into a wall when an independent council tries to intervene.

Episode 15. Disciple (Air Date: 02/24/1999)

A young girl dies in an ER, and Briscoe and Curtis are called in to investigate when no one claims to have been her doctor. McCoy and Carmichael step in to fight for religious freedom despite attempting to convince a jury that strong belief in God doesn't exempt people from human decency.

Episode 16. Harm (Air Date: 03/03/1999)

Briscoe and Curtis investigate an assault on a divorce attorney that points to a particularly messy divorce and possible homicide. Carmichael insists on bringing the case to court to prove that no one is above the law.

Episode 17. Shield (Air Date: 03/24/1999)

While on an undercover stakeout, an officer returns to his car and finds his partner shot dead. The detectives soon find that the trail leads back to the police department.

Episode 18. Juvenile (Air Date: 04/14/1999)

The detectives investigate the shooting of a reporter who wrote stories about gangs, but they quickly discover that the shooter was closer to home.

Episode 19. Tabula Rasa (Air Date: 04/21/1999)

When a university professor is thrown from a moving subway car into an oncoming subway car, Briscoe and Curtis suspect murder. They discover a secret family life and have to help McCoy and Carmichael prosecute despite an expired statute.

Episode 20. Empire (Air Date: 05/05/1999)

A heart attack suffered by a big-shot business man is linked to a sexual performance drug and the District Attorney's office puts Curtis on the stand to testify about criminal motive.

Episode 21. Ambitious (Air Date: 05/12/1999)

Briscoe and Curtis investigate the death of an audio salesman and the trail leads to the mafia. The suspect calls on his "friends" to keep him out of jail.

Episode 22. Admissions (Air Date: 05/19/1999)

Briscoe and Curtis find themselves in college when a promising mathematician is found strangled and stabbed. The investigation uncovers the young woman's turbulent relationship with a professor, but they fall short of evidence that links him to the crime. McCoy becomes suspicious of two of the victim's friend who seem determined to protect each other's stories.

Episode 23. Refuge (Part 1) (Air Date: 05/26/1999)

A family's murder has one witness, a young boy, and ties to the Russian Mafia. Pushing ahead with the case not only endangers the witness but also the prosecutors as well.

Episode 24. Refuge (Part 2) (Air Date: 05/26/1999)

When the ADA and the prime witness' mother are killed, McCoy tries to save his case against Russian mobsters by jailing them. He works against the clock to finalize his case against them before they are released for a lack of cause.
