Episode 1. Payback (Air Date: 09/20/1999)

Stabler and Benson investigate the murder of a cabbie who was impersonating another man. Further investigation reveals that the dead man was a Serbian soldier who had been indicted on charges of ethnic cleansing. Benson has trouble separating herself from the case and Stabler tries to keep her from crossing the line.

Episode 2. A Single Life (Air Date: 09/27/1999)

The death of a writer focuses on the woman's psychiatrist, a TV anchorman and the deceased's father.

Episode 3. Or Just Look Like One (Air Date: 10/04/1999)

The detectives investigate the beating of a teen model. High levels of drugs in the victim's system lead them to take a look at not only the modeling agency, but also the photographer who was supervising her last shoot. Stabler's worries that his daughter may be anorexic.

Episode 4. Hysteria (Air Date: 10/11/1999)

A murder victim first appears to be a hooker, but the investigation soon turns up that she had a boyfriend who worked on wall street.

Episode 5. Wanderlust (Air Date: 10/18/1999)

The investigation of the murder of a travel writer focuses on the man's landlady and her young daughter.

Episode 6. Sophomore Jinx (Air Date: 10/25/1999)

When a student at a private college is found raped and murdered, two basketball players who are protected by the school become the prime suspects. The detectives also discover that the sweet girl recently began experimenting with the underworld.

Episode 7. Uncivilized (Air Date: 11/15/1999)

A convicted child molester is accused of murdering a child. When the suspect's alibi holds up, the team is pressured to hold him for political reasons.

Episode 8. Stalked (Air Date: 11/22/1999)

Benson and Stabler narrow down the suspects in the rape and murder of an Assistant DA to a realtor with a history of date rape. It appears that Benson may be his next victim, and only the suspect's business partner can validate his alibi.

Episode 9. Stocks & Bondage (Air Date: 11/29/1999)

The detectives investigate the death of a stock analyst and discover that she was involved in illicit financial dealings and sado-masochism.

Episode 10. Closure (Air Date: 01/07/2000)

Benson does her best to help a rape victim who is able to describe her attack in perfect detail, yet unable to properly identify her attacker. When the detectives revisit the case a few months later, they find the woman even less willing to talk about what happened. Benson and Cassidy spend the night together.

Episode 11. Bad Blood (Air Date: 01/14/2000)

When a young gay man is murdered, Benson and Stabler suspect an ex-con who lives in the same building. But it's also possible that the man's father, who heads a conservative watch dog group, may be responsible. Also, Benson resents Munch's help in finding her father, a stranger who raped her mother decades ago.

Episode 12. Russian Love Poem (Air Date: 01/21/2000)

A millionaire with a seedy sex life is found murdered, leading Benson and Stabler into a ring of Russian immigrants who frustrate them and lead them in circles. Munch and Cassidy track down a sexy Russian beauty who may be the killer, that is, until one of her boyfriends confesses.

Episode 13. Disrobed (Air Date: 02/04/2000)

After a judge is found murdered in his car, the detectives begin looking into his background and learn that he often delivered special verdicts for women in return for sexual favors and was also behind the funding of a local governor's bid for re-election. Cassidy opts to leave the stressful environment of SVU.

Episode 14. Limitations (Air Date: 02/11/2000)

A sexual assault case that is five years old is reopened days before the statute of limitations ends. Benson and Stabler must interview all the victims. When they do, they find that one of them knows who the assailant is but won't tell because he goes to her church.

Episode 15. Entitled (Part 1) (Air Date: 02/18/2000)

Detectives Briscoe, Green, Benson and Stabler combine forces to investigate the murder of a man believed to be a sexual aggressor. The evidence points to the daughter of a wealthy politically connected family. After they hire a high priced lawyer, a duplicate murder occurs. This is part I of a crossover episode between "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

Episode 16. The Third Guy (Air Date: 02/25/2000)

When an elderly woman is robbed, raped, and murdered, two teenage boys are fingered as the culprits. However, once the detectives catch the young men, they learn that there was someone else in the apartment.

Episode 17. Misleader (Air Date: 03/31/2000)

When the daughter of a religious leader is found strangled in a hotel room, suspects include a colleague and a thief.

Episode 18. Chat Room (Air Date: 04/14/2000)

A young girl is raped after meeting an internet chat buddy, but the investigation becomes more difficult when the girl covers for him. Her case eventually leads to a pedophilia ring.

Episode 19. Contact (Air Date: 04/28/2000)

Benson and Stabler investigate a series of sexual attacks on women in crowded subway cars. A suspect is arrested, but none of the victims can identify him. Benson begins dating a crime reporter.

Episode 20. Remorse (Air Date: 05/05/2000)

Munch forms a friendship with a TV reporter who was sexually assaulted months earlier, and Benson and Stabler make the first arrest thanks to a little luck. However, the case is jeopardized when a bomb eliminates evidence.

Episode 21. Nocturne (Air Date: 05/12/2000)

A piano teacher is arrested for pedophilia, and the squad wants a former student to testify against him.

Episode 22. Slaves (Air Date: 05/19/2000)

An attorney is suspected of making a sex slave out of a Romanian immigrant and killing her. A forensic psychologist analyses the team, suggests to Cragen that one of the detectives be removed.
