Things get complicated for Jason Matthews when his ex-girlfriend, and the daughter of the hotel's owner, takes up a staff position. Jason is asked to babysit a visiting celebrity athlete. Making matters worse, Gabriel, Jason's friend, is accused of inappropriate relations with one of the younger guests and faces legal charges.
A luckless guest finagles a position on staff as a maid and, after impressing a high-value guest, is rewarded with a concierge position. Nicole and Jason try to put their shared past behind them so as to work together in a professional manner even as sparks fly between MJ and Chris.
The island is invaded by Nicole's friends from Manhattan. Tessa finds herself in an odd situation when a hotel guest requests Vincent's presence. MJ judges Nicole based on her friends' behavior.
The biggest surprise in store for Jason when Nicole's fiance arrives at the hotel is how likeable he is. Tessa holds out hope that a storm won't interfere with the view of a meteor storm that has brought an astronomy convention to the hotel. Gabriel risks his job and friendships in an effort to make enough money to pay a local thug.
Tessa's boyfriend makes a reappearance at the Grand Waimea on the arm of a rich woman. Jason and Vincent worry that Morgan may have plans for the Grand Waimea. MJ and Chris's romantic getaway is anything but when they get lost searching for a secluded spot.
The hotel has to deal with both celebrity, the arrivals of Dennis Rodman and Melissa Joan Hart, and security, in dealing with the secret service assigned to the Vice President's daughter. Jason learns more about Morgan while meeting at an adult location. A pro surfer returns to MJ's life in an attempt to woo her.
Nicole's father comes to the hotel to help prep Nicole's wedding. Nicole calls off her wedding to Morgan only to find Jason in bed with Tessa.
Jason tries to smooth things over with Nicole after being caught in bed with Tessa, but Tessa doesn't help matters. Gabriel is befriended by a pro surfer, Trey, who turns out to also be MJ's ex and desperately wants her back.
Jason investigates the destruction of his father's surf shop, believing Walter Booth to be tied to the crime. MJ tries to regain her spot in Chris's heart. Frankie tries to sell Vincent on a club.
Frankie's club has a great opening night, but police tell him that it may be jeapardized by illegal happenings. Jason suspects that Nicole's father will stop at nothing to keep them apart. Gabriel's budding threesome romance develops thorns when Erika realizes he wants Charlie all for himself.
Walter starts to make moves on owning the hotel by nabbing a fifty percent stake and tells Nicole he's willing to sell it back to Vincent if she'll join him in New York. Alexandra Hudson arrives at the hotel calling Walter her father and Nicole her half sister.
Alexandra and Nicole team up to investigate Walter's involvement in the apparent death of Nicole's mother. Chris vanishes after a hike and Tessa learns more about Vincent's investors, information that could put his stake in the hotel at risk.
Alexandra seizes control of the hotel, ousting Vincent and promoting Tessa. Lindsay goes after Chris while they're lost in the jungle. Gabriel learns that Charlie has abandoned Erika, leaving nothing behind.
MJ worries about telling Chris what went on between her and Clayton. Alexandra schemes to get Clayton to host his radio show from the hotel. Gabrielle Reece comes to the club with a birthday party booking but Tessa has already booked a party there.
Tessa accompanies Jason to a black-tie charity on behalf of the hotel. Gabriel is torn between seeking out Erika and a surfing sponsorship. MJ finds herself in a position to do something good for Chris, if he's willing to accept her help.
Jason tries to win Nicole back permanently by asking for her hand in marriage, but between the recent revelations about Jason and Tessa and the arrival of a hot new chef, Nicole isn't keen on committing. MJ puts a bracelet on eBay but it disappears on her. Tessa tries to woo Frankie with her cooking.
Frankie punches Jason over Jason's possible lingering feelings for Tessa. Jason learns of Vincent's illegitimate dealings to try to win back his hotel. Alexandra does her share to pull for Gabriel in a surfing competition.
A fashion designer picks the Grand Waimea as the place to unveil his new collection. Tessa steps in for an injured model. Jason worries he might be losing Nicole to Tommy. MJ drinks too much champagne and confronts Chris about his dealings with Alexandra.
Tessa's attempt to impress Frankie's mom at the family reunion backfires when a cousin recognizes her as a pickpocket. Tommy and Nicole fight over his menu when it receives a bad review adds flame to their growing passion. Jason learns of Vicent's continued drug dealings and takes action. Chris faces legal action after leaving a diver in the ocean and the potential lawsuit could cost the hotel upwards of ten million dollars.
The gang manages to get bail money for Jason, after which the cops ask him to help them implicate Vincent. But, Jason's initial reluctance to do so is overturned after learning of the lies Vincent has been telling him.
