In the wake of his wife and writing partner Lorna's spiraling depression, screenwriter Mark Colm succumbs to temptation in flirting with a cute and equally married new member of his social circle, all the while fending off the advances of yet another family friend and stewing over Lorna's preference for spending time with a washed-up producer he considers a bad influence.
Mark tries to make amends with Steven, only to come away with the nagging suspicion that he doesn't know everything he should about Lorna. Meanwhile, as Mark reflects on how he and Lorna weather loss separately, the two of them successfully nab a new financier for their movie.
