Season 1 Episodes
Episode 1. Pilot (Air Date: 07/27/2005)

A U.S. Army unit arrives in Iraq and is immediately drawn into a climate of bloody warfare. With their personal mettle quickly tested in combat, the unit members must rely on the guidance of their sergeant, their training, and the courage of their own inner convictions to survive.

Episode 2. Roadblock Duty (Air Date: 08/03/2005)

The fire team is assigned to watch a remote checkpoint in order to keep insurgents from leaving town, while U.S. forces evacuate the town in order to locate a missing stinger missile surplus. Bo slides deeper into trauma while in the hospital, prompting his wife to come over to Iraq from the U.S.. Meanwhile, the new man in Bo's old post, Tariq, clashes with others over his status as an Arab-American.

Episode 3. The Prisoner (Air Date: 08/10/2005)

When a top-ranked American officer systematically breaks down a prisoner in order to obtain information on his part in the theft of stinger missiles, the fire team must come to grips with the interrogation aspect of their work. Meanwhile, Bo's morphine dependency worsens, prompting Terry to step in and confront him.

Episode 4. I Want My Toilets (Air Date: 08/17/2005)

Angel uses his expert rifle skills to help a fleet of American supply trucks make an expected delivery run. Meanwhile, back at home, Terry makes her house wheelchair accessible for Bo's impending return, while Vanessa suffers an emotional breakdown.

Episode 5. Embedded (Air Date: 08/24/2005)

Smoke is involved in the killing of a civilian which may have been orchestrated by the Iraqis. When the reporter at hand suddenly disappears after making a similar accusation, the unit begins to believe that their theory of a setup is the truth. The stress of the situation causes Smoke's mother to become ill. Meanwhile, Bo slowly must learn to use his new prosthetic leg, while Vanessa tries to keep a secret from Dim.


The fire team is in a hurry to find the kidnapped journalist and rescue him before the Iraqis kill him. During the mission, they learn that their efforts may be jeopardized, as Smoke now has a price on his head. Meanwhile, Vanessa reaches her lowest point, while Bo and his family are finally together again.

Episode 7. Mission Accomplished (Air Date: 09/07/2005)

The team's attempt to help Iraqi prison guards maintain order at an overflowing prison turns deadly when a prisoner shows up covered in explosives and angry enough to blow up the entire prison population. Bo's inability to maneuver within his permanent physical condition causes him to grow frustrated with Terry. Meanwhile, Mrs. B is given a leave in order to take care of her autistic son and has an epiphany about the next chapter of her life.

Episode 8. Situation Normal (Air Date: 09/14/2005)

The fire team is given the task of protecting an American crew of oil riggers as they construct an oil pipeline, but a cultural misunderstanding between the Americans and Arabs present has some grave consequences.

Episode 9. Spoils of War (Air Date: 09/21/2005)

The fire team is morally torn when a well-to-do house is seized during a sweep and millions of dollars worth of cash is found inside. Mrs. B returns from being A.W.O.L. and finds a kindred spirit in Dim. Dim, meanwhile, receives a surprising apology from Vanessa, and Bo's looming discharge begins to cause friction between him and Terry.

Episode 10. Suicide Rain (Air Date: 09/28/2005)

Lt Underpants' rash decision causes a hostage situation involving an American solider, prompting Angel to put himself in harm's way to keep the solider from becoming another casualty. Meanwhile, Sergio and Anna's fledgling romance begins to heat up, and Vanessa receives a surprising bit of good will from an unlikely person while continuing to make up for her behaviors of the past.

Episode 11. Orphans (Air Date: 10/05/2005)

Scream has a troubled reaction to the fire team's orders to clear out an Iraqi orphanage. In the midst of trying to keep the kids where they are, he develops an attraction to the French woman who oversees them. Meanwhile, Terry tries to get to the bottom of an issue surrounding Bo's military pay and Sergio attempts to handle his feelings for Anna.


The fire team tries to find a bomber within an Iraqi Village, but is hampered by the assistance of inexperienced, ill-trained Iraqi soldiers. Meanwhile, Vanessa tries to convince herself that sobriety is still worth the effort, and Bo must confront his father when he learns that his father has been pilfering his wages.

Episode 13. Follow the Money (Air Date: 10/26/2005)

The fire team begins to have severe doubts about Lt Underpants’ ability to lead while providing protection to a civilian group on a dangerous ride. Meanwhile, Bo meets an individual who could possibly get him reinstated in the army, while Sergio is given surprising news from Anna.
