Season 5 Episodes

In the season premiere, we meet the contestants, they meet each other and move into their apartments. The contestants give a brief description of their styles and individual situations in life. Unfortunately, their are eliminations on the first day, and one bright eyed designer will be sent packing. In the end, it is Jerry that is eliminated in the first round.

Episode 2. Grass is Always Greener (Air Date: 07/23/2008)

The designers are forced to think green in the second episode of Project Runway, with the help of their trusted model. In the end, it is Wesley that is removed from the competition.

Episode 3. Bright Lights/Big City (Air Date: 07/30/2008)

When the sun sets over the Big Apple, the real fashion of New York comes to life. The designers use the city as their muse. In the end, it is Emily that is eliminated. Also, Sandra Bernhard acts as guest judge.

Episode 4. Rings of Glory (Air Date: 08/06/2008)

Today's challenge is to design an outfit for America's lady Olympians, to wear to the Games' opening ceremonies. In the end, it is Jennifer that is eliminated. Also, "Dancing With the Stars" winner, Apolo Anton Ohno serves as guest judge.

Episode 5. Welcome to the Jungle (Air Date: 08/13/2008)

Inspired by a hit TV show "Lipstick Jungle," the Project Runway designers help working women dress the part. In the end, Kelli Martin is eliminated. Also Brooke Shields acts as guest judge in the episode.

Episode 6. Good Queen Fun (Air Date: 08/20/2008)

The designers are to make outfits for drag queens. Chris March of Season 4 makes a cameo, while the remaining contestants are given $200 to shop for supplies, and 2 days to complete their designs. The winner receives immunity for the next challenge. In the end Daniel is eliminated, also guest judge RuPaul helps out.

Episode 7. Fashion that Drives you (Air Date: 08/27/2008)

The remaining designers get revved up for their materials in this challenge. The designers have to make an outfit made entirely out of the spare parts and raw materials of a Saturn Hybrid car. In the end Keith is eliminated. Also, Laura Bennett and Rachel Zoe are guest judges.

Episode 8. Double 0 Fashion (Air Date: 09/03/2008)

The contestants must create a look inspired by the fall collection of a fashion icon of this decade, guest judge Diane Von Furstenberg. In the end Stella is eliminated.

Episode 9. What's Your Sign? (Air Date: 09/10/2008)

The designers team up with eliminated designers, to create a garment around the astrological sign of one their partners. They have 32 hours to complete the look.

Episode 10. Transformation (Air Date: 09/17/2008)

The challenge in this episode, is to transform recent college graduates, giving them a look suitable for entering the work-force. Each designer is to give their client a look that falls in line with the specific profession in which the client is to seek employment. The catch is that the clients mother must approve of the look. In the end, it is Joe Faris that is eliminated.

Episode 11. Rock N' Runway (Air Date: 09/24/2008)

The designers tune in to their musical side for a musical genre challenge. In the end Suede is eliminated. Also, LL Cool J guest judges.

Episode 12. Nature Calls (Air Date: 10/01/2008)

The remaining designers head to the great outdoors to draw inspiration from mother nature. In the end, Kenley Collins is eliminated.

Episode 13. Finale, Part 1 (Air Date: 10/08/2008)

The remaining designers take to the tents to determine who will be the next winner. In the end Jerell is eliminated.

Episode 14. Finale, Part 2 (Air Date: 10/15/2008)

The contestants are able to use 10 of their 12 designs, for their final runway performance. After the judges see each designers line, the 5th season "Project Runway" winner is announced. In the end, the winner is LeAnne Marshall.
