With Barbara Jean spending more time at the gym, Brock convinces Reba to spy on her and her trainer to make sure there's no funny stuff going on. Meanwhile, Cheyenne considers working on her own appearance after she catches Van checking out Barbara Jean's new physique.
Van fears he's going to be relegated to Reba's assistant once more as they prepare to meet with the top real estate agent in Houston about a job offer. So when he is offered the job and not Reba, his excitement is soon tempered by the consequences. Meanwhile, Brock tries to keep up with Barbara Jean in the looks department.
Reba tries to balance her family and her work after Van constructs a new home office in her garage and puts pressure on her to call 100 people a day. But Van's pressure isn't the result of his passing up a more lucrative job, it's because Cheyenne's pregnant. Meanwhile, Kyra decides to move in with her mother.
After Kyra moves back in with her, Reba tries to get on board with the house rules Brock and Barbara Jean had established for her, one being that she could drink the occasional beer. But when Reba catches Kyra with a boy in her room, those rules go flying out the window. Meanwhile, Van finds out that Jake's new basketball team is actually for people in wheelchairs.
After ending their business, Reba and Van race to sell off their worst real estate property in a competition to retain the partnership's client list. Meanwhile, Barbara Jean auditions to be the new weather girl at a TV station despite Brock's protestations.
Cheyenne freaks out at the thought of her child turning out like Kyra, until Reba informs her that she was the bad apple and not her little sister. Cheyenne attempts to remedy this by recreating Kyra's 5th birthday party which she had previously ruined, but Kyra interprets the act as being inherently selfish and rejects her older sister.
Brock begs Reba to help him figure out how to romantically wow Barbara Jean when he fears their marriage hitting a rough patch. But he rebuffs Reba's suggestions and instead decides to reverse his vasectomy and "surprise" Barbara Jean with pregnancy. Meanwhile, Kyra has taken to secretly recording Van as he makes a fool of himself and post the videos on YouTube, making Van a star of sorts as The Doofus.
Barbra Jean suspects the new intern from Oklahoma is actually fresh meat brought in by the TV station's management to succeed her as the weather reporter and convinces Reba to spy on her to figure out if that's the case. Meanwhile, Cheyenne and Van try to figure out a way to tell Brock that they're not going to name their son after him.
Brock hides out in Reba's garage for a couple of days in order to get away from his wife. But when Reba's blood pressure skyrockets, she insists he confront the problems in his marriage. Unfortunately, in doing so, Brock and Barbara Jean file for divorce. Meanwhile, Van develops anger management issues while coaching Jake's terrible soccer team and gets fired.
Cheyenne dislikes the home Reba's found for her and Brock because it's being sold by an old cheerleading rival. Meanwhile, Barbara Jean tries to keep up the appearance that she and Brock are happily married, despite their recent separation.
Kyra tells Reba and Brock that she's going to sit out college for a while so she can go on tour with her band. When Reba forbids her from doing that, Kyra moves out. Meanwhile, Cheyenne and Van argue over decorations for their new home.
Reba develops Empty Nest Syndrome after Cheyenne and Van move into their new house. She keeps dropping in on them, forcing the young couple to confront her about it. But they wind up insulting her, causing Reba to declare that she will never step foot in their home agian. Meanwhile, Brock has doubts about his pending divorce with Barbara Jean, and her meltdown live during a news broadcast gives him reason to try and make amends with her.
Van nearly burns down his and Cheyenne's new home, prompting them to move back in with Reba until the damage is repaired. But the young couple develops second thoughts about moving out and going at it alone and so they ask Reba if they can move back into the house.
