Season 2 Episodes

In the second-season opener, Sam teams with her mom in a dance competition against Regina's nemesis (Cybill Shepherd) and her partner, who happens to be a ringer (Mark Ballas from "Dancing With the Stars"). Meanwhile, Todd is still in Sam's apartment because he's having trouble finding a new place.

Episode 2. Out of Africa (Air Date: NA)

Sam decides to go to Africa to help those in need, but changes her mind when she learns how many vaccinations she would need and how many obstacles she would face. She decides instead to hide out with Andrea and Dena so no one else will know she didn't go. Dr. Andy Adams: Tony Hale.

Episode 3. The Pill (Air Date: NA)

Sam enters a clinical trial for people with memory loss, and the pills help her regain memory fragments. Meanwhile, Andrea and Dena are mistaken for a gay couple, and Andrea insists that, if she were gay, she could hook up with a much hotter woman than Dena.

Episode 4. The Building (Air Date: NA)

Sam starts a real-estate firm with Regina, and falls for their first client (James Tupper). Meanwhile, Andrea tries to seduce a friend of Todd's to get a pro-basketball player's phone number.

Episode 5. Help! (Air Date: NA)

After a run-in with a cop, Sam is sentenced to community service, where she meets a troubled young woman (Mary-Kate Olsen) and decides to help her turn her life around. Meanwhile, Howard gives Todd advice on how to win Sam back, even though Todd says that he and Sam are just friends.

Episode 6. The Ex (Air Date: NA)

Romantic sparks fly between Owen's ex-girlfriend and Todd. When Sam feels jealous, she's forced to decide which man is more important to her. Meanwhile, Dena tries to take a flattering photo of Andrea to get her a date with a basketball player that Andrea thinks is hunky.

Episode 7. The Farm (Air Date: NA)

Sam invites boyfriend Owen for dinner to meet her parents, but Owen and Howard don't hit it off. Meanwhile, Dena thinks Chase isn't spending enough time with her, so she sits in on one of his meetings and unknowingly undermines his authority with his employees.

Episode 8. The Park (Air Date: NA)

Sam tries to be an environmentalist to impress philanthropist boyfriend Owen. Meanwhile, Andrea fouls out with pro basketball player Tony Dane, much to her chagrin.


Samantha goes on a family vacation (and takes Andrea and Dena along) to take her mind off her broken heart. The owner of their vacation lodge turns out to be an old flame of Sam's, but she's afraid to reconnect with him. Still, Sam gets jealous when Andrea makes a pass at him.


Sam and Todd double-date with Andrea and pro basketball player Tony Dane. But Todd discovers there's something about Tony that could affect Andrea's interest, and Sam can't help meddling. Dena asks Regina for help after developing an online relationship with a lonely soldier that could make Chase jealous.

Episode 11. The Dog (Air Date: NA)

Sam feels the urge to be a mother, and she borrows Dena's dog to see if she's nurturing enough to care for it. Meanwhile, Regina takes pilot lessons after Howard's late stepbrother leaves the couple a plane in his will; and Andrea continues to date basketball star Tony Dane.


Sam decides she needs to improve her friendship with Frank after a series of misunderstandings; Andrea fears that the perks that come from dating a basketball star will cease after her boyfriend is outed as being gay.

Episode 13. The Debt (Air Date: NA)

Sam goes into debt after losing big in Las Vegas, but running into her ex-boss, billionaire Winston Funk (Billy Zane), may get her out of a jam. Meanwhile, Dena and Andrea ask favors of each other.

Episode 14. The Rock Star (Air Date: NA)

Sam dates a rock star (Duran Duran's John Taylor) that was an idol during her youth, but she has no recollection of her former feelings about him. However, Andrea and Dena remember him well and can't help fawning over him.

Episode 15. Todd's Job (Air Date: NA)

Sam fears her old self may have cost Todd a photography career, so she tries to sabotage his competition for a job with a local newspaper. Meanwhile, Regina puts Dena's house on the market, without telling Dena, to continue her real-estate partnership with Sam.

Episode 16. The Sister (Air Date: NA)

Sam learns that she has an aunt (Christine Ebersole) and a grandmother (Florence Henderson) that she never knew about because of a feud between Regina and her sister over a family heirloom. Meanwhile, Andrea is seen as a jinx when Tony Dane's team starts losing every time she's in attendance.

Episode 17. The Dream Job (Air Date: NA)

Sam is hired to head Winston Funk's charity foundation and hires Andrea as her vice president of legal affairs. That's a decision Sam soon regrets, as Andrea neglects her work in favor of planning her wedding.


Sam wants to give Todd a second chance and offers to go on a "first date" with him, but Todd doesn't trust Winston Funk, who has been trying to convince Sam to continue the affair they were having before her accident. Meanwhile, Andrea is on a reality show about celebrity weddings as she plans her big day with gay basketball star Tony Dane.
