Ryan and Jackson Muse, remarried ten years after the first attempt didn't go so smoothly, find that there are still some kinks to be worked out between them, as Jackson learns that Ryan once posed nude for an artist and Ryan learns that Jackson was once engaged to someone else.
A newspaper interviews Jackson and Ryan about the ups and downs of relationships, but the piece turns out to be a less-than-stellar portrait of the couple. Meanwhile, they are unsure about whether or not to become members of a country club.
Ryan learns that Jackson contemplated asking her to sign a prenuptuial agreement before the remarriage, and her discovery causes a remorseful Jackson to feel bad, until he learns that Ryan hung onto her old apartment just in case the marriage went south. Meanwhile, Nigel gets the heave-ho when he asks Paula to sign a prenup, causing him to try and figure out how to get back into her good graces.
Jackson tries to get Ryan reinterested in having a baby by bringing her a puppy, but when the couple drops the ball with their puppy, Ryan begins to have even more doubts about her ability to handle a child. When the couple is asked to babysit, however, things go smoother, leading Ryan to reevaluate her true parenting capabilities.
When Ryan discovers that Jackson threw a crazy party at the house before the two got remarried, he attempts to put those images out of her mind by finding them a house that hasn't been spoiled by his previous activities.
Ignoring her rule about not working with Jackson, Ryan gets him a job redesigning her art gallery, but when her boss dislikes Jackson's creative instincts, she realizes why she set the rule to begin with when she must now fire her husband. Meanwhile, Paula muscles her way into the job of office manager at Nigel's office, but he soon learns that she doesn't know much about interacting with people.
Ryan and Jackson decide to forgo a night with Nigel and Paula and reconnect with Chris and Amanda, two voices from the past, but while out on a double date, the couple discovers that their old friends are not as happily married as it would seem. Meanwhile, Ryan is torn over whether or not to tell Coco her beau is irritating.
After fuming over the notion that Jackson helped out with his former fiancee's car purchase, Ryan decides to play the helpless victim in order to appeal to Jackson's rescue-minded nature. When Jackson is weaseled into a trip to his ex's family reunion, however, he soon learns that the family isn't even aware the two aren't together anymore.
Jackson and Ryan finally go on a belated honeymoon, but get into a major argument before their plane flies out. Subsequent circumstances, however, force the two to understand a different perspective on the issue that caused the argument as well as on other lingering issues.
Jackson is bilked to the tune of several thousand dollars when Paula's father shows up for her Christmas party, forcing her to reveal to all that he is a professional con artist.
