Episode 1. the real me (Air Date: 06/03/2001)

While Charlotte deals with a female problem and Samantha takes daring photographs, Miranda wonders about a man who finds her sexy and Carrie considers an offer to model for a charity fashion show.

Episode 2. the agony and the 'ex'tasy (Air Date: 06/03/2001)

Miranda puts her single status on comic display at an engagement party. Meanwhile, Samantha finds herself attracted to a man of the cloth and Carrie contemplates the concept of soulmates as her birthday celebration turns out to be a dud.

Episode 3. defining moments (Air Date: 06/10/2001)

While Samantha befriends a fiery female artist who wants to be more than friends and Charlotte delights in Trey's newfound passion for her until his insistence on public lovemaking starts seeming too kinky, Mirnanda finds her new beau's lack of concern for privacy appalling and Carrie tries to make beautiful music with the owner of a jazz club, despite Big's transparent attempts to undermine the nascent romance.


The ladies struggle with balancing relationships with sex: Carrie has great chemistry with Ray but can't get him to talk about anything important; Samantha's relishing her relationship with Maria but finds herself in the unusual position of having to learn more about the sex.

Episode 5. ghost town (Air Date: 06/24/2001)

While Samantha wearies of relationship baggage with Maria and Charlotte and Bunny lock horns over who runs the household, Miranda and Carrie are forced to confront ghosts of past relationships.

Episode 6. baby, talk is cheap (Air Date: 07/01/2001)

Carrie decides she wants an old boyfriend back; Charlotte and Trey decide they're ready for parenthood - until they have married friends with kids over for dinner; Samantha decides she can't stand the baby talk her new beau uses during sex; and Miranda decides her new running partner is just a little too kinky for her.

Episode 7. Time and Punishment (Air Date: 07/08/2001)

While a reluctant Miranda is forced to rest after an injury, Charlotte considers a solution to the issue of balancing home and work the others consider radical. Also, Samantha makes a hair-raising point to her new man about gender equality and Carrie worries Aidan will never forget about her affair with Big.

Episode 8. My Motherboard, My Self (Air Date: 07/15/2001)

While Carrie needs help when her computer crashes, Miranda suffers a personal loss that gives everyone new perspective.

Episode 9. sex and the country (Air Date: 07/22/2001)

Against her better judgment, Carrie accompanies Aidan to the country where his outdoorsy side works her nerves. A visiting Samantha sets her sights on a hunky neighboring farmer while Charlotte lays down the law to Trey about the fundamental differences between her and Bunny. Elsewhere, despite her conflicted feelingds, Miranda resolves to be there for Steve as he goes through a worrisome surgical procedure.

Episode 10. belles of the balls (Air Date: 07/29/2001)

When a heartbroken Big horns in on Carrie and Aidan's weekend away, she helps the two men get along. Back in the city, while Miranda tries to help Steve adjust to life after surgery and Charlotte talks Trey into proceeding with the next step in trying to get pregnant, a determined Samantha goes after a big hotel account despite the owner's sexism.

Episode 11. coulda, woulda, shoulda (Air Date: 08/05/2001)

With Charlotte having fertility problems and Miranda facing unwelcome news, they find themselves contentiously on opposite sides of wanting to get pregnant, causing Carrie to question a past life-changing decision of her own. Meanwhile, Samantha's lust for an exorbitantly expensive handbag causes trouble with a famous client.

Episode 12. just say yes (Air Date: 08/12/2001)

While the news that her building is going co-op incites all kinds of romantic and co-habitation concerns for Carrie, Charlotte comes to realize that she and Trey may not want the same things. Elsewhere, Samantha goes on a whirlwind trip with her sexist new client and Miranda tells Steve of her big decision, only to be met with an unexpected reaction.

Episode 13. the good fight (Air Date: 01/06/2002)

As Miranda despairs that being pregnant will prevent her from getting laid, and Samantha and Richard grow closer, Carrie finds that living with Aidan is suffocating her.

Episode 14. all that glitters (Air Date: 01/13/2002)

While a distance develops between Charlotte and Trey, Samantha tries to deny her growing feelings for Richard. Also, Carrie struggles to maintain her lifestyle.

Episode 15. change of a dress (Air Date: 01/20/2002)

As Charlotte tries changing her routine and Samantha dreads entering into an open relationship with Richard, Aidan starts pressing Carrie for a wedding date.

Episode 16. ring a ding ding (Air Date: 01/27/2002)

As Richard lavishes expensive gifts on Samantha, Carrie frets over her money woes. Meanwhile, Miranda and Steve struggle with their new roles as parents-to-be.

Episode 17. a vogue idea (Air Date: 02/03/2002)

While Charlotte plans a baby shower for Miranda and Samantha reluctantly fulfills Richard's birthday fantasy, Carrie lands a plum assignment at Vogue.

Episode 18. i heart ny (Air Date: 02/10/2002)

Carrie seeks a final reconciliation with Big when she finds out he's moving to the other side of the country. Scarred by the unhappy end to her marriage, Charlotte finds she's hesitant to return to dating. Now that she's finally let her defenses down, jealous rears its ugly head as Samantha fears Richard might be cheating on her.
