Episode 1. To Market, To Market (Air Date: 06/22/2003)

Carrie goes on a 'Sim-u-date' to prepare for a date with author Jack Berger; Charlotte cosiders converting to Judaism for Harry.

Episode 2. Great Sexpectations (Air Date: 06/29/2003)

As Charlotte thinks about converting to Judaism to accommodate Harry and Samantha tries a new restaurant where the food is raw but a particular waiter is hot, Miranda transfers her emotional dependence on men to her TiVo and Carrie struggles to heat up her new romance with Berger.

Episode 3. The Perfect Present (Air Date: 07/06/2003)

Carrie's concerned about how baggage involving past exes might affect her and Berger's relationship and Charlotte's a little taken aback when she learns exactly what she'll have to give up to become a Jew. Meanwhile, Miranda continues to experience anxiety that Steve has moved on without her and Samantha comes to accept that there's more to her boy toy du jour than just his outstanding prowess.


Miranda finds Berger's insights into dating revelatory even as he takes offense when Carrie critiques one small element of his novel. Meanwhile, Charlotte goes overboard making her first Sabbath dinner for Harry and Samantha relishes living out fantasies with her new actor boy toy.


While Charlotte confronts what it means to be without a man, Miranda's unrequited love for Steve leads her into some desperate acts. Elsewhere, Samantha puts her public relations savvy behind launching Jerry's career and Carrie contends with the effect her success has on Berger in light of his failure.

Episode 6. Hop, Skip and a Week (Air Date: 07/27/2003)

While Miranda becomes concerned that her career keeps her from spending quality time with Brady, Smith has doubts that Samantha's efforts to turn him into a citywide sensation will take his career in the direction he wants. Also, Charlotte suffers through a series of bad dates that emphasize how much she still loves Harry and Carrie and Berger hit rough waters in their relationship.


An infuriated Carrie is determined to get over Berger's break-up method with a fabulous night of clubbing. Also, Samantha is brought up short when Smith publicly professes to be single, though she coached him to do just that. Meanwhile, Charlotte feels conflicted about heading into her second marriage and Miranda gets an enormous self-esteem lift when she realizes she fits into her skinny jeans.

Episode 8. The Catch (Air Date: 08/10/2003)

While Miranda resists all opportunities to meet Steve's girlfriend and Charlotte stresses about having the perfect wedding, Samantha comes to realize Smith is good for more than just sex and in contemplating what it means to be a catch, Carrie tries letting go of her fears and allowing herself a fling.

Episode 9. A Woman's Right to Shoes (Air Date: 08/17/2003)

Miranda finds herself attracted to a handsome new neighbor as Charlotte tries to get used to living with Harry. Meanwhile, as Samantha bemoans the omnipresence of children in adult settings, Carrie's disturbed not only by the theft of her beloved Manolo Blahniks from a no-shoes-allowed baby shower but by the hostess's subsequent callousness.

Episode 10. Boy, Interrupted (Air Date: 08/24/2003)

Carrie reunites with her high school sweetheart, rekindling feelings. Watching the dating scene becomes an enjoyable sport for Charlotte. Miranda gravitates toward Robert and becomes jealous of a flirtatious cheerleader while Samantha sneaks into a members-only pool club.

Episode 11. The Domino Effect (Air Date: 09/07/2003)

Carrie's emotions are stirred whe she is visited by Big; Miranda runs into Steve and Robert.

Episode 12. One (Air Date: 09/14/2003)

Carrie goes on an unusual date with artist Alexander Petrovsky; Charlotte finds out she is pregnant; Miranda and Steve celebrate Brady's first birthday.

Episode 13. Let There Be Light (Air Date: 01/04/2004)

Carrie spends the night with Aleksandr; Miranda gives Robert custody of the elevator; Samantha reignites an old flame.

Episode 14. The Ick Factor (Air Date: 01/11/2004)

Aleksandr's romantic gestures begin to irritate Carrie; Miranda and Steve decide to get married; Charlotte and Harry become ill from eating a French dinner; Samantha decides to get breast implants and finds a lump in her breast instead.

Episode 15. Catch 38 (Air Date: 01/18/2004)

Carrie babysits Brady while Miranda is on her honeymoon and begins to wonder if a baby would fit into her life; Samantha seeks a second opinion on whether she should get chemotherapy; Miranda feels pressured to be romantic on her honeymoon.

Episode 16. Out of the Frying Pan (Air Date: 01/25/2004)

Carrie and Aleksandr have their first fight; Samantha starts losing her hair and gets a new haircut; Charlotte starts running excessively to take her mind the fact that she can't have a child; Steve asks Miranda to look at an apartment in Brooklyn.

Episode 17. The Cold War (Air Date: 02/01/2004)

Carrie receives several phone messages from Big; Charlotte decides to enter her new puppy in a dog show; when tabloid rumors start that Smith is gay, Samantha decides to circulate a video.

Episode 18. Splat! (Air Date: 02/08/2004)

Aleksandr asks Carrie to move to Paris with him for his art opening; Miranda voices her concerns about Aleksandr; Charlotte gets upset when she finds out that her dog is pregnant.


Mr. Big shows up on Carrie's doorstep before she leaves for Paris; Samantha is asked to speak at a breast cancer benefit; Charlotte and Harry start filing for adoption.


Carrie meets some of her French fanbase and they organize a party in her honor; Miranda and Steve find out that Steve's mother has suffered a stroke and they decide to move her into the apartment; Charlotte and Harry meet the parents of their baby only to find out that they want to keep the baby themselves; Smith flies home from a shoot in Canada to tell Samantha that he loves her; Carrie breaks i
