While Teri suffers a panic attack and Kenny applies for a loan to bid for a city contract, Christine exhibits her jealousy of Teri.

When her sisters are injured in a car accident, Teri takes a leave from work to care for their kids. Meanwhile, Ahmad's convinced his "baptism curse" is the source of the family's misfortunes.

With Kenny home from the hospital, Teri offers to get a nanny to watch the kids, which leads to Maxine and Teri having a falling out.

Teri tries to help Lem's legal situation, but ends up making things worse for him.

On his mission is to find out who is responsible for burning down the store and clear his name, Lem manages to track down the arsonist. Meanwhile, Damon's patience is tested when dealing with an egotistical client and Kenny's tendency to fight gets him banned from Ahmad's soccer games.


As Bird expresses concern when Lem gets involved with his mother's troubled romantic relationship, Kenny finds his father's relationship with Lila disturbing.

Kenny tries to deal with his unhappy empolyees and after getting fired, Teri tries to get her work life in order. Meanwhile, Damon accepts a new client and Ahmad expresses his distress with the breakup.

Episode 20. This Must Be Love (Air Date: 02/13/2002)

Maxine plans a surprise weekend with Kenny for their anniversary, but things are put on hold when she finds a love letter from Lila and accuses Kenny of having an affair. Meanwhile, Damon's attempt to break off his relationship with Christine, who insists she's pregnant with his child, leads to tragedy and a return to Teri. Also, Bird considers a proposition.
