Excel and Capital Edge are charged with hosting a technology expo at a senior center. The winning Excel team then gets to hand out toys to children at a hospital. Jennifer Wallen is fired.
The two teams are charged with promoting a new character they've created for Dairy Queen's Blizzard Treat. The Excel team gets to play baseball with the New York Mets as a reward for winning the competition. Toral Mehta's procrastinating gets her fired.
To help with the release of Sony Picture's "Zathura," the two teams compete to design a parade float based on the film. Excel once again wins the challenge and get to record a song with Wyclef Jean. Kristi Caudell is fired.
With Trump and George Ross away on business, Carolyn Kepcher takes over and quickly restructures the two lopsided teams with Bill Rancic's help. The newly distributed teams must try to increase sales at a sporting goods store by design a sports-themed advertisement. The Capital Edge teams wins a fishing trip. The losing Excel team does so poorly that Trump has Josh Shaw, Jennifer Murphy, James Dillon, and Mark Lamkin fired.
The two teams' latest project is to create and teach a class at the Learning Annex. Excel wins the challenge and gets to go on a shopping spree at Michael Kors. Markus Garrison is fired for being ineffective on the project.
Trump challenges the teams to create an interactive "Star Wars Episode III" display for the release of the companion video game. Capital Edge wins a tour with Bill Rancic of Trump Tower. Brian Mandelbaum and Marshawn Evans are fired.
Capital Edge wins the challenge of creating a song for an unsigned singer that will be judged on XM Radio Café. They win a trip in Trump's helicopter to see the sights of New York City. Clay Lee is fired for his behavior during a meeting.

Finalists Rebecca Jarvis and Randal Pinkett receive their final challenges. Rebecca must raise money for an AIDS Foundation by hosting a comedy event. Randal must host an Autism charity baseball event for Outback Steakhouse. They bring back formerly fired contestants to help with their tasks.
Randal Pinket and Rebecca Jarvis complete their final projects with Randal able to raise money and Rebecca failing to raise money for their respective charities. With help from the fired contestants, Trump choses Randal Pinket as "The Apprentice."
