Though Kate, Jinny and Magda investigate a powerful litigator suspected of killing a missing intern, it turns out the intern is alive and staged the entire charade in order to expose the womanizing politician. Nate and C.D. find out that the man behind the theft of thousands of dollars to thge money to pay for his disabled son's medical bills.

Episode 3. This Thing Called Love (Air Date: 01/20/2002)

While C.D. and Nate look into a hit-and-run death, Magda and Jinny investigate a brutal murder with a truly surprising motive.

Episode 4. Insult to the Body (Air Date: 01/27/2002)

While Raina crosses the line in eliciting a confession from a suspect before reading him his rights, Nate and C.D. struggle with a murder case that seems to be unsolvable.

Episode 5. Forgive Me, Father (Air Date: 02/10/2002)

Kate is right on the case when an arsonist kills two people; Nate and C.D. find a dead body in a church; and Jinny sees her ex-boyfriend, Teddy, for the first time since getting out of rehab.

Raina takes on a tough murder case to shed her rookie status while Magda trys to help an elderly woman admit that she's a victim of domestic abuse.

While Nate and C.D. look into the death of a high school bully, Jinny faces the prospect of losing her job when she makes a split-second decision and Magda panics when her son, Ben, goes missing.

Magda and Jinny investigate the death of a suburban mother killed by another mother. Nate and C.D. try to solve the murder of an evil stalker. Meanwhile, Kate gets a visit from her daughter.

Episode 9. Beyond the Grave (Air Date: 03/17/2002)

Newly released from jail, Magda's sister Lily starts causing problems. Meanwhile, Nate and C.D. use the services of a psychic in an attempt to find a missing girl and Jinny's AA sponsor tells her to ask Magda's forgiveness. Kate struggles with the death of her mother.

As Jinny and Magda investigate the murder of a former rock star and AA member, Jinny must confront her own feelings about the solidarity at and confidentiality of what is revealed during AA meetings.

Episode 11. Keep Hope Alive (Air Date: 04/07/2002)

As Nate and C.D. try to solve a kidnapping, Raina helps convince the young witness to a gang murder testify. Meanwhile, Jinny feels awkward helping Magda plan her wedding.

Episode 12. Illusions (Air Date: 04/21/2002)

Nate worries after his mentally disabled sister announces her engagement; Magda and Jinny look into the case of a drug addict who has been the victim of an armed assault; Kate's reservations come to bear when she learns that a killer-turned-artist is up for parole.

Episode 13. Remembrance (Air Date: 04/28/2002)

When heroin is found in the schoolbag of a 12-year-old girl, C.D. and Nate try to help her out. Meanwhile, Jinny and Magda must persuade a rape victim to recover blocked memories so they can begin trying to solve her case. On the verge of turning 50, Kate starts reflecting on her former marriage.

Episode 14. Unfamiliar Territory (Air Date: 05/12/2002)

While Raina looks into the stalking of a former high school classmate, C.D. tries getting back into the dating scene. In investigating a woman's murder, Magda and Jinny look into the possible involvement of her sexist co-workers.

Episode 15. Welcome Home (Air Date: 05/19/2002)

As Raina and Dom get more involved with each other, Magda and Jinny investigate the death of a teenager who overdosed at a rave. Meanwhile, C.D. and Nate must work with a JAG lieutenant when a female Marine turns up dead.

Episode 16. Brave New World (Air Date: 06/02/2002)

When a young woman turns up murdered, Nate and C.D. investigate a judge's possible involvement. Magda and Jinny go undercover to bust a woman suspected of performing unauthorized cosmetic surgeries. Meanwhile, Kate tries a dating service but finds the experience harrowing.


Kate's caught in the middle when a rivalry develops between her current boyfriend and her ex-husband. Meanwhile, C.D. and Nate try to solve the murder of a renowned advice columnist. On Magda's wedding day, the bride is the only thing missing.

Episode 18. Farewell My Lovelies (Air Date: 06/23/2002)

Magda fears there may be something more seriously wrong when Ben's flu doesn't respond to regular treatment. When her sponsor falls off the wagon, Jinny is forced reevaluate her commitment to AA. Nate and C.D. investigate the death of a private detective's assistant.

Episode 19. Full Moon (Air Date: 07/21/2002)

On the night of the full moon, Kate puts the entire division on alert to track down a serial killer who strikes only on that day of the month. Meanwhile, Nate and C.D. examine the case of a murder caught on a reality TV show. Jinny and Teddy work a case together, possibly reigniting sparks between them.

Episode 20. Long Day's Journey (Air Date: 07/28/2002)

When a bus is hijacked, Kate must negotiate a very tense hostage crisis. The pressure only escalates when Raina, one of the bus's passengers, tries to lend her assistance. Meanwhile, Magda and Gabe must face some hard choices regarding Ben's leukemia.

Episode 21. Before The Deluge (Air Date: 08/04/2002)

The division snaps to attention when a killer commits a series of racially-motivated murders. As the manhunt progresses, Jinny makes a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, Magda tries to put on a brave face for Ben.

Episode 22. Sweet Sorrow (Air Date: 08/11/2002)

As the division continues to fight to catch a racist killer, Jinny struggles with the enormity of the family secret she uncovered. Meanwhile, Magda continues dealing with Ben's deteriorating medical condition and Raina tries to advance her career.
