Season 1 Episodes
Episode 1. Pilot (Air Date: NA)

Animated comedy about a vegan politically correct family whose good intentions always seem to go awry. In the pilot, daughter Bliss tires of her mother's attempts to talk to her about sex and joins an abstinence group, and adopted son Ubuntu turns 16 and wants to learn to drive.

Ubuntu becomes a star on his high-school football team, and Helen and Gerald struggle with being a "football family." Later, Charlie bonds with a repulsive dog at Helen's animal rescue, and it winds up living with the Goodes because Charlie's home doesn't allow pets.

Episode 3. Helen's Back (Air Date: NA)

Helen's back goes out, jeopardizing the Goodes' chances of being featured on the organic garden tour. A Latino gardening crew and Helen's childhood pen pal from Burma come to the rescue. But to the Goodes' chagrin, they discover they've unknowingly exploited the workers.

Gerald and Helen befriend a lesbian couple to impress the arts council, but it goes for naught when Gerald makes an inadvertent antigay slur.

Episode 5. Freeganomics (Air Date: NA)

Helen invites a noted guest to Greenville for the Eco Festival who turns out to be nothing more than a freeloader.

Bliss gets a job cleaning up graffiti but there's no work to do, so Helen starts tagging secretly. Her graffiti becomes a sensation, and an Oxford professor (voice of Elvis Costello) declares it the work of a major new urban artist.

Gerald gets tricked into eating supposedly meatless chili that has chicken in it, so he confronts a local celebrity chef. Meanwhile, Che goes missing.

Gerald and Helen tutor at-risk kids after school, leaving their own kids to their own devices. Ubuntu unknowingly joins an ecoterrorist group, and Bliss starts a fake ID business.

Gerald tries to raise money to bring a Public Broadcast Radio station to Greenville and it looks like he's going to succeed, but an old woman who donated $100,000 may lose her house because of the donation. Andy Richter, Kevin Nealon and Julia Sweeney are part of the guest voice cast.

Helen is accused of stealing what she thought was a free sample of wheatgrass at One Earth, and the store bans her for life. The timing couldn't be worse: She was planning a dinner party to help advance Gerald's career.

Gerald adopts a highway to show his kids that a person can make a difference, but things don't go as planned and the Goodes learn that the area is being used as a drug drop-off zone by neo-Nazis.

In the first-season finale, Gerald thinks Trish and Mo want him to be a sperm donor for their next child. Meanwhile, Ubuntu begins to grow facial hair, and Charlie decides to teach his grandson how to be a man, much to Gerald and Helen's chagrin.
