Episode 1. Privilege (Air Date: 09/29/2002)

With Lindsay in jail for murder, Eugene makes an appeal for her release. Jimmy is asked by a teenager's "adoptive" mother to contact the girl's birth parents after kidnapping the child years ago. Fresh from law school, Jaime Stringer meets resistance from her new colleagues as she joins the firm.

Episode 2. Convictions (Air Date: 10/06/2002)

While Rebecca argues for Lindsay's appeal in front of the Supreme Judicial Court, Jimmy must defend a woman for kidnapping, and even though he knows who the true kidnapper is, he causes her to get arrested.

Episode 3. Of Thee I Sing (Air Date: 10/13/2002)

The team is sent information by an unknown party that the DA may have suppressed evidence in Linday's trial which is crucial to her defense. Also, Jamie may be over her head when attempting to defend a man who is on trial for "indecent" behavior.

Episode 4. The Cradle Will Rock (Air Date: 10/20/2002)

Lindsay returns to the fold but feels she may not belong anymore and the team defends a couple whose gravely ill son died when they failed to take him to see a doctor.

Episode 5. Neighboring Species (Air Date: 11/03/2002)

When a research facility is put out of business by the city after new laws are passed the firm steps in. Lindsay, in her new role, gets a strange case involving a woman who sues her neighbor for "denying" her happiness drawn from her loud singing voice.

Episode 6. The Telltale Nation (Air Date: 11/10/2002)

A client takes legal action a fellow victim of molestation by a priest. Also, a pair of neighbors and former lovers file actions against each other, with help from Lindsay and Jamie.

Episode 7. Small Sacrifices (Air Date: 11/17/2002)

The firm comes to the defense of a church brought under fire for the ritual sacrifice of animals while Bobby and Jimmy are ordered, against their wishes, to defend a man on trial for the statuatory rape of a 13 year old boy.

Episode 8. Bad to Worse (Air Date: 12/01/2002)

A woman who on trial for the murder of her boyfriend makes defending her difficult for Eugene and Elenor while Lindsay gets a new client in the form of an airlines accused of discrimination by making it policy not to allow Arabs to fly with them.

Episode 9. The Good Fight (Air Date: 12/08/2002)

Bobby's conscience gets the better of him when defending another client that he finds reprehensible and intentionally blows the defense. Jamie gets her second case but runs into interference from some of her co-workers who play a joke on her.

Episode 10. Silent Partners (Air Date: 12/15/2002)

Eugene takes Bobby's place as head counsel when Bobby is benched by the jusdge due to his unpredictable behavior and poor performance during a heated muder trial. Lindsay also defends a murderer depsite her own misgivings. After mistakenly flirting with a judge, he now wants to see Jaime out of court, putting her in an uncomfortable situation.

Episode 11. Down The Hatch (Air Date: 01/27/2003)

Bobby and Eugene take the case of a woman who is suing an liquor company for the death of her alchoholic son, while Ellenor tries to reverse the decision to execute a woman who is mentally ill.

Episode 12. Final Judgement (Air Date: 02/03/2003)

The firm reels after a controversial settlement for the parents that sued the alcohol company for the death of their alcoholic son while Ellenor struggles to reverse the death sentence and pending excecution of her mentally disabled client.

Episode 13. Character Evidence (Air Date: 02/10/2003)

A former high-school sweetheart of Jimmy comes to him for help against murder charges and his romantic feelings for the woman create a conflict of interest. Lindsay brings ona new lawyer into her firm


Bobby fights to get a client who has served 15 years for a crime he didn't commit some payback while Lindsay helps her new lawyer Claire to try her first case with excellent results. Also, Lucy gets stuck on Jury Duty.

Episode 15. Choir Boys (Air Date: 03/10/2003)

Helen Gamble is threatened by a man charged with three murders. Meanwhile, a client that Lindsay and Claire are defending leads them to the body of a young girl.

Episode 16. Special Deliveries (Air Date: 03/24/2003)

Lindsay and Claire find themselves in trouble for refusing to break lawyer-client privilege regarding the body of a missing girl. Meanwhile, the mother of an alleged serial killer sues Helen Gamble for defamation.

Episode 17. Burnout (Air Date: 03/24/2003)

A paralyzed man seeks the firm's counsel when his wife is charged with murder. A woman from Bobby's past returns to tempt him. Also, Jamie defends a woman who feels that she's being discriminated against because she was raped.

Episode 18. Capitol Crimes (Air Date: 03/31/2003)

A young drug dealer charged with a gang-related murder is defended by Eugene and Jimmy. Meanwhile, Bobby is tempted by his old flame, Sarah Barker.

Episode 19. Les Is More (Air Date: 04/07/2003)

A troubled woman hires Jimmy to handle a negotiation with CBS television head Les Moonves. Meanwhile, Bobby and Lindsay deal with their failing marriage.

Episode 20. Heroes and Villains (Air Date: 04/21/2003)

While defending a man accused of date rape, Eugene clashes with another member of the firm. Meanwhile, after Bobby and Lindsay decide to separate, he sleeps with his old flame Sarah Barker.

Episode 21. Baby Love (Air Date: 05/05/2003)

Bobby tells Lindsay the truth about his affair with Sarah Barker. Also, Eugene and Jamie defend a pregnant woman accused of murder.

Episode 22. Goodbye (Air Date: 05/05/2003)

Bobby surprises the firm when he announces his resignation and names Eugene as senior partner. Also, Jimmy and Rebecca defend a man accused of killing his sister-in-law.
