Episode 1. Tree House of Horror VII (Air Date: 10/27/1996)

"The Thing and I" Bart discovers that he has an evil Siamese twin. "The Genisis Tube" Lisa's science project evolves into a life form that attacks Bart. "Citizen Kang" Aliens take over the presidential election.

Episode 2. You Only Move Twice (Air Date: 11/03/1996)

Homer is offered a new job and forces the family to relocate. But once he moves he starts to suspect his new boss is a super-villain.

Episode 3. The Homer They Fall (Air Date: 11/10/1996)

When Homer discovers that he has an amazing gift for taking a punch he decides to become a professional boxer.

Episode 4. Burns Baby Burns (Air Date: 11/17/1996)

Homer comes up with a plan to put Mr. Burns' illegitimate son back in his bosses good graces, but the plan backfires and Homer is accused of kidnapping.

Episode 5. Bart After Dark (Air Date: 11/24/1996)

Marge and Lisa go to help clean up after an oil spill leaving Bart and Homer to run the house.

Episode 6. A Milhouse Divided (Air Date: 12/01/1996)

Milhouse's parents ruin Marge's Thanksgiving dinner by announcing their divorce over the meal.

Episode 7. Lisa's Date with Density (Air Date: 12/15/1996)

Lisa developes a crush on Nelson and then tries to change his bad boy ways.

Episode 8. Hurricane Neddy (Air Date: 12/29/1996)

A hurricane destroys the Flanders' house so their neighbors rebuild it for them. When Ned criticizes their workmanship, his own guilt puts him in a mental hospital.


Homer goes on a hallucinatory, spiritual journey after eating some of Chief Wiggum's chili.

Episode 10. The Springfield Files (Air Date: 01/12/1997)

Agents Scully and Mulder come to Springfield to investigate a report of an alien visit. Since the report comes from Homer, they lose interest and leave.


Marge is sold on "mobile pretzel retailing" by a smooth talker, but sales quickly go soft.

Episode 12. Mountain of Madness (Air Date: 02/02/1997)

While on a company mountain retreat, Homer and Mr. Burns become trapped in a cabin by an avalanche.


When Marge's hair start falling out because of stress, the Simpsons hire a singing nanny.


A new character is added to the Itchy and Scratchy show, and Homer provides the voice.

Episode 15. Homer's Phobia (Air Date: 02/16/1997)

The Simpsons make a new friend, but Homer worries about his influence on Bart after they discover that he is gay.


Sideshow Bob is released to work for his brother who still holds a grudge against him.

Episode 17. My Sister, My Sitter (Air Date: 03/02/1997)

Lisa gets a reputation as a first class baby sitter, so her parents leave her in charge of Bart and Maggie when they go out.


After Bart gets drunk in public on St. Patrick's Day, Springfield enforces its long ignored prohibition law.

Episode 19. Grade School Confidential (Air Date: 04/06/1997)

Bart catches Skinner and Mrs. Krabappel kissing and makes a deal with them to keep quiet. When they push him too far, he blows the whistle and they are both fired from the school.

Episode 20. The Canine Mutiny (Air Date: 04/13/1997)

Bart gets a phony credit card and buys the perfect dog, but when his purchases are repossessed, he sends Santa's Little Helper in the new dogs place.

Episode 21. The Old Man and the Lisa (Air Date: 04/20/1997)

Mr. Burns finds that he is penniless from bad investments, so he asks Lisa to help get back on track.

Episode 22. In Marge We Trust (Air Date: 04/27/1997)

Marge gets the job of counseling parishoners after she criticizes Rev. Lovejoy for being out of touch.

Episode 23. Homer's Enemy (Air Date: 05/04/1997)

A hard working new employee at the plant looks to drum Homer out of the company. Meanwhile, Bart buys an abandoned factory.


At the request of Fox, the "Simpson" producers come up with some spinoffs to help beef up the schedual. Shows include: "Chief Wiggum P.I.", "The Love-Matic Grandpa," and "The Simpson Family Smile-Time Variety Hour."


Bart is sent to military school to deal with his discipline problem. When Lisa sees the classrooms, she wants to enter the school, but she doesn't count on the physical part of being a cadet.
