Marge and the kids go to New York to see a Broadway show called "Kickin' It: A Musical Journey Through the Betty Ford Center."


A Vietnam POW crashes Principal Skinner's 20th aniversary party claiming that Skinner is an impostor.

A recounting of how Lisa got her first saxophone.

Episode 4. Tree House of Horror VIII (Air Date: 10/26/1997)

"The Homega Man" Homer is the last man on earth battling a mob of mutated people. "Fly vs. Fly" Bart is transformed into a fly and a fly is transformed into Bart. "Easy-Bake Coven" Marge is accused of being a witch in 1649 Salem.

Episode 5. The Cartridge Family (Air Date: 11/02/1997)

After a riot in Sprinfield, Homer buys a gun for protection. When he refuses to get rid of it, Marge leaves with the kids.

Episode 6. Bart Star (Air Date: 11/09/1997)

Flanders quits as Pee Wee football coach because of Homer's heckling. Homer takes over and replaces the good quarterback with Bart.


Marge pretends to be Apu's wife to help him get out of his parent's arranged marriage.

Episode 8. Lisa the Skeptic (Air Date: 11/23/1997)

Lisa finds a human skeleton that has bones for wings. When the town goes nuts, the skeleton disappears and Lisa is the suspect.

Homer buys a car at a police auction but the drug dealer who owned it wants it back. Marge takes a job as a real estate agent.


Bart's early jump on opening Christmas presents starts a fire that melts their plastic tree all over the rest of the gifts. Bart tells everyone that a burglar took the gifts and Springfield responds with donations.

Moe gets a girl to go out with him and maxes out his credit cards trying to impress her.

Marge orders Bart to play with Ralph Wiggum, which is bad until Bart finds Chief Wiggum's key to the city.

Homer joins the Navy reserve, where he ends up in charge of a nuclear submarine during a war game.


When the IRS audits him, Homer agrees to help them recover a trillion dollars from Mr. Burns.

Bart steals the spotlight from Lisa when she anchors a news show for kids.

Episode 22. Trash of the Titans (Air Date: 04/26/1998)

Homer pulls off a stunning, landslide victory when he runs against Springfield's sanitation commissioner. Series 200th episode.

Episode 23. King of the Hill (Air Date: 05/03/1998)

Homer must get in shape so that he can promote a health-food product by climbing the tallest mountain in Springfield.

Episode 24. Lost Our Lisa (Air Date: 05/10/1998)

Lisa gets lost on a trip downtown and Homer teaches her a lesson on taking risks.

Episode 25. Natural Born Kissers (Air Date: 05/17/1998)

Marge and Homer try to recreate their first sexual experience at a miniature-golf course. Bart and Lisa find an alternate ending to "Casablanca."
