The city is rampaged by riots in the face of a full-on blackout. Ty rescues Chief of Patrol Hancock and must bite his tongue to keep Hancock's private life a secret.

Sully learns more about his wife's past with the Russian Mob. Bosco is put under the authority of a female unit leader who rubs him the wrong way during their investigation of a weapons ring.

Yokas and Bosco try to track a possibly kidnapped child.

Episode 4. Crash and Burn (Air Date: 10/21/2002)

Doherty struggles to free trapped motorists from a multivehicle accident as a fuel leak threatens to kill them all.

Episode 5. Judgment Day (Part 1) (Air Date: 10/28/2002)

Russian gangster, Chevchenko, doles out his own type of family justice and Officer Sully feels his world crumble as his fight to respond becomes personal. Meanwhile, Officer Yokas struggles with her own family problems and confronts her teen daughter about them. A stubborn department bigwig tries to persuade Officer Davis to be his own personal limo driver.

Russian gangster, Chevchenko, doles out his own type of family justice and Officer Sully feels his world crumble as his fight to respond becomes personal. Meanwhile, Officer Yokas struggles with her own family problems and confronts her teen daughter about them. Episode 7. Firestarter (Air Date: 11/11/2002)

After Bosco fails to save a young mother from a store fire, he makes it his personal crusade to find the arsonist. Davis continues to chauffer an elite cop.

Episode 8. Ladies' Day (Air Date: 11/18/2002)

Yokas takes her daughter shopping and end up being held hostage at a bank robbery.


A young boy must testify to prevent Bosco's suspect from walking; Sully endangers Yokas when they are paired together; Davis despises his role as chauffeur.


Bosco, Doc, and Carlos are ambushed by a gunman while transporting the boy who is about to testify.

Episode 11. Second Chances (Air Date: 01/06/2003)

Doc leads the new paramedic through her first day. Carlos is accused of improper conduct with a teenage patient.

Episode 12. Castles of Sand (Air Date: 01/13/2003)

Carlos is accused of groping a young patient; Yokas encounters a friend during the breakup of a lesbian couple's domestic dispute, while Doherty finds that his image is being used to advertise an embarrassing product.

Episode 13. Snow Blind (Air Date: 01/27/2003)

Because of a blizzard emergency, Doc goes against his superior's orders and enlists Carlos's help. Emily's boyfriend is brought in on an overdose and can't remember where he left Emily in the storm. The team searches for her.


Emily remains in her coma after exposure to the elements and a drug overdose. Cruz and Bosco get caught in a blaze when they try to shut down a drug dealer.


Bosco and Cruz tray to stay alive in the burning drug house. Yokas thinks back to her first encounter with Bosco.

Prank calls distract the team from actual emergencies.

Episode 17. Letting Go (Air Date: 03/17/2003)

Doc backs Carlos before his paramedic review as other members of the watch try to rescue a father and child from a crashed car.

Episode 18. Last Call (Air Date: 03/31/2003)

Several of his friends and fellow officers kidnap Sully for a hard intervention against his alcohol abuse.

Episode 19. Everybody Lies (Air Date: 04/07/2003)

An armored car crash leaves officers defending the spilled money as Kim gets cozy with a injured journalist. The woman who accused Carlos of misdeed returns.

Episode 20. In Confidence (Air Date: 04/14/2003)

Noble tries to earn his freedom after getting busted with drugs by helping to set up a dealer. Yokas has problems convincing her daughter that her boyfriend is trouble.

Episode 21. Closing In (Air Date: 04/21/2003)

Bosco is confronted with how far he'll go to find his partner's sister's murderer. Yokas tries to improve the bond with her daughter.

Episode 22. The Price of Nobility (Air Date: 04/28/2003)

Cruz and Bosco continue to stop at no ends to bring down the killer of Cruz's sister, though Bosco is hesitant at Cruz's by any means necessary tactics. Doc chooses Taylor to spend a day as a paramedic.
