Two twins, the intellectual businesswoman Mitchee and her beautiful model sister Farrah, find themselves learning how to be business partners when they are handed the reins of their parents' legendary undergarments company.
After having a meeting to discuss Michee and Farrah's disputes over the company's fall line, the two begin to miss having their parents' influence in their lives. Alan and Lee, meanwhile, have already begun to grow weary of retirement.
Mitchee expresses her discontent after Alan too often reagrds her as one of the boys, but Alan’s attempts to do the reverse causes some whispered gossip about her at work. Meanwhile, Lee tries to convince the ambitious Farrah that she’s not cut out for important company meetings and other tasks.
Mitchee decides to tell Jordan that he and Farrah are all wrong for each other at Lee’s suggestion, but over dinner, Jordan saves Farrah from choking, which brings the two even closer, romantically. Meanwhile, Alan begins to feel awkward about his morning hug ritual with colleague Neil, but before he has the chance to stop the hugs, he inadvertently walks in on Neil’s intimate moment with his boyfriend.
Mitchee and Farrah agree to separate for their shared birthdays, but Mitchee discovers that Farrah didn’t invite her to her birthday event, anyway. Mitchee spends the night bonding with Jordan and is surprised at their commonalities. Meanwhile, Alan and Lee have a spat over Lee’s insistence that the two buy their daughters a pony for a present.
Mitchee and Farrah are forced to confront the hurdles of their younger days when they attend a traffic school located at their old school. Mitchee resents that Farrah used her looks to get by in school, while Farrah is still bothered that those looks brought her the stigma of seeming unintelligent. Meanwhile, Alan decides to get back into shape, and Lee insists she has the perfect motivator to help him achieve his goal.
Mitchee confesses to Lee during Halloween that she never really enjoyed wearing costumes as a kid. Alan tries to curtail the egging of his house by a persistent thrower. Meanwhile, Farrah donates a supply of unused underwear to an elderly home and comes face to face with her qualms about getting older.
Farrah tells Mitchee she wants to handle the renegotiation of the company building lease, assuming she can use her looks to charm the male landlord like her mother used to, but she is forced to ask Mitchee for help when she learns that the landlord's daughter has taken over the role. Meanwhile, Alan discovers that he's allergic to Lee's miniature horse, Tinkerbell.
While out on a date with Jordan, Mitchee learns from Farrah that he has botched an important order, prompting her to wrestle with the idea of firing someone she's attracted to. Meanwhile, Alan declares to Lee that their housekeeper and her subpar housekeeping methods must go.
Alan's boring sister, Judy, comes to the family Thanksgiving dinner and brings her new boyfriend with her, but Judy's new man seems to be more interested in hitting on Lee. Meanwhile, Farrah and some friends try to take Mitchee's mind off of Jordan by taking her out for a night on the town.
Farrah has a tough time handling her first rejection by a man, but when Mitchee sees him at a coffee shop, their confrontation over the subject proves to be quite an eye-opener for her. Meanwhile, Alan's venture into the world of the internet proves to be shocking when he discovers an employee's nasty blog about him.
Lee decides to turn Mitchee into a complete blonde package as the company’s 30th anniversary celebration looms near. Meanwhile, Alan puts on a brave face when he thinks Farrah is dating his much older friend.
Mitchee and Farrah try to make things right with a girl who was scarred for life when the sisters pantsed her in summer camp as kids. Meanwhile, Alan coaxes Lee to take a night out with Neil, but is soon frantically forced to prove his love for her all over again.
Mitchee and Farrah look forward to their high school reunion, where they hope to hook up with former crush Danny, but former geek turned self-help author, Eric, manages to work Farrah's mind and turn her attraction towards him instead. Initially incensed by his trickery, Mitchee later uses Eric's help to get a disaffected Danny's interest. Meanwhile, Alan gets a little too into the idea of winning during a couples game night.
Mitchee tries to find a roommate when she considers buying an amazing condo, but in lieu of an available option, she asks Farrah, who skeptically agrees. Meanwhile, Alan and Lee agree to spend reasonably for their 30th anniversary presents to each other, but Alan's erroneous estimation of his gift's cost ends up putting him way over the agreed limit.
Mitchee and Farrah begin to have concerns about their ability to live together in their condo when they have their first argument at home. Meanwhile, Alan and Lee try to add some pep to their love life by renting a steamy video, only to find that the clerk gave them the wrong video.
Farrah is compelled to hire Charlie, a former fashion model for the company to run the marketing department when he tells her that he is never taken seriously because of his looks. After going to bat for Charlie with Lee and Alan, however, Farrah is forced to work all night to finish a project when he fails to deliver the goods.
Mitchee is paid a surprise visit by her former boyfriend, Zach, and the two revisit their old romance despite Farrah's insistence that Mitchee not see him. Mitchee is elated when Zach even ends up proposing to her. Meanwhile, Alan is shocked to discover that Lee's former boyfriend was a billionaire whose accomplishments had always impressed him.
