When a patient opens fire on Times Square and then attacks people in the ward, more than one life hangs in the balance. Dr. Matthews confronts his own demons when helping a man threatening suicide. Robert Banger finds himself in a custody battle.

Episode 2. 20/20 Hindsight (Air Date: 04/06/2000)

Garrity has to deal with the media and face a review panel after she sends a patient home and he shoots police and citizens in Times Square. Abe and Miles try to determine the cause of an elderly woman's desire to kill her husband of over 50 years.
