  • Late Night Last Night: Kim Kardashian Gets a Surprise Baby Shower on 'Kimmel'
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 30, 2013
It seems like all that Kim Kardashian has ever talked about since becoming a reality star is wanting to start a family. And now that she is finally pregnant (with Kanye West's baby) it's time to celebrate — only thing is that none of the Kardashian klan has gotten around to planning a baby shower for her yet. So, Jimmy Kimmel, being the polite late night host that he is, threw Kim a surprise baby shower Tuesday night when she and Kourtney stopped by for a visit. Complete with a "Kongratulations Kim" sign, balloons, and virgin mimosas, Kim seemed quite delighted by Kimmel's surprise. But the best part was the special present that Kimmel prepared for Kim: a creative baby names book called The Big Book of Baby Names That Start with K. Now Kim doesn't have to worry about coming up with a baby name that begins with "K" because she has a whole book full of suggestions of original titles like Katmandu, Kite-Runner, Kiwi, Kel, Keenan, Kredenza,  and Kaleidoscope. "You name [it], they're all in here," Kimmel said. "You can take that home with you."   Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Linda Hogan: Hulk 'Should Have Taken More' Pictures of Brooke's Legs
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 29, 2013
It's clear Hulk Hogan doesn't mind being the center of attention, but he probably didn't think that a recent Twitter post would earn him such harsh ridicule. On Sunday, Hulk tweeted a picture of his 25-year-old daughter, Brooke, in a mini-dress and directed fans to look at her "legs." Well, this definitely caught the attention of his followers and users quickly started slamming him for posting the controversial pic, insisting that it was incestuous and calling him a "sick b*****d." But despite the onslaught of hatred, Hogan's ex-wife Linda affirms that he did nothing wrong. "If people want to say what they want to say to him, then they can," Linda tells Hollywood.com. "But don't make him out to be a pedophile or anything because that's just not fair." Linda believes that Hulk just took the picture because he's proud of his daughter's body. "It's just a picture of how beautiful her legs are and really kind of a compliment to how hard she's worked to get there," Linda says. "As a parent, he's extremely proud. Brooke [wasn't always] an in-shape person. Now, [she's] kickboxing and working out and training and dieting. She has done [a lot] to get her body to look as gorgeous as it does. I'm sure he was probably just glowing with pride. Just a dad going, 'Wow. Look at my girl.' And nothing more than that." But this isn't the first time Hulk has been tied up in a controversial picture scandal involving his daughter. In 2008, he was criticized when a picture revealed him putting sunscreen on Brooke's butt. Linda didn't see anything wrong with that photo either. "The public just wants to sit there and make rash decisions about a photo that they have no idea about what really is going on or what kind of relationship they have," she says. "We're beach people. We live in Florida. Our kids are like water babies, every day with a bathing suit and the beach. We got to slather them with sunscreen from the time they were babies. When I saw that picture, it didn't even affect me. It just looked like standard protocol because [he was] slathering the kids down with suntan oil. There was nothing there. He's not that kind of person ever [to] look at my daughter that way or think of anything like that." Linda thinks that Brooke and Hulk's relationship is not weird, and that Hulk's most recent actions were innocent. "He should have taken more and showed her off," she says. "She's gorgeous. Her body has really honed down." "I may not like him as a husband, but as a father, he is the very best," Linda says. "He loves his kids. And the kids absolutely adore him." Since Sunday, Brooke has taken to Twitter to defend her dad. "A dad can't even be proud of his daughter without sickos makin it something it's not. Really?? Go back to your farm animals. #ignorant" she wrote Monday. A dad can't even be proud of his daughter without sickos makin it something it's not. Really?? Go back to your farm animals. #ignorant — Brooke Hogan (@MizzHogan) January 28, 2013And Hulk even responded to the criticism himself on Tuesday. "Brooke works out for 2hrs a day,a fan takes a picture,Brooke love it,tweets back thank u,proud dad tweets it,creeps and perverts everywhere," he said. • Late Night Last Night: Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon Slow Jam the Fiscal Cliff Battle
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 29, 2013
Last week, the House of Representatives voted to suspend the nation's debt ceiling temporarily — so the nation's ongoing fiscal cliff war will continue on for a few more months. And on Monday night, Jimmy Fallon and NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams decided that instead of just chatting about the issue, they would turn it into a jam session. In the three-minute song, Williams and Fallon break down what's going on with the crisis. Williams, who can't let go of his newsman voice even for a funny video, leads the song as if it were an economic lesson at The Wharton School, debriefing viewers on all that's happening concerning the issue. "Less than a month after signing a fiscal cliff deal and narrowly adverting a financial crisis, the Obama administration once again finds itself locking horns with Republicans over the issue of raising the debt ceiling, the amount of money the nation is legally allowed to borrow," he sings. But Fallon decided to turn the "lesson" into a salacious metaphor. "When it comes to raising the debt ceiling, the president is having a hard time getting it up," he says. "Seems the GOP ain't rubbing him the right way, especially with the country $16.4 trillion in debt." It continues on in this format for the rest of the bit. The band leader makes a joke about the United States being so broke that the country needs to liquidate its assets "just like Al Roker." Williams talks about some Democrats hoping that their leader, John Boehner, will soften his "hard-line stance" — which leads to Fallon making the best joke of the whole video. "Take if from my man, Brilly Willy [Williams' new nickname], ain't nothing worse than a soft Boehner," Fallon sings. "Ain't nothing worse, especially when it starts leaning a little to the left. And it's going to take more than a magic pill like the trillion dollar coin to stimulate growth in the private sector." Williams then explains that the President wants to use his power of executive order to "bypass Congress" and increase the debt ceiling. "You ain't lying honey, Bri Bri," Fallon says. "The President's got the bill in his hands. All it needs now is his John Hancock." "Obama's got Republicans in a compromising position," he adds. "Now he's ready to push his package through Congress." Lance Armstrong's drug problems and Fifty Shades of Grey are also jabbed in the video. Oh, and Williams' response to all of Fallon's perverse innuendos? "How was third grade, Jimmy?" he asks. Point made. Now, back to the economy. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Chris Brown Allegedly Punches Frank Ocean in a Parking Lot
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 28, 2013
Yet another allegation of violent behavior is being attributed to singer Chris Brown. In 2009, he plead guilty to physically assaulting his girlfriend, Rihanna. Then in June 2012, Brown engaged in a nightclub brawl with singer Drake and his entourage, which involved the alleged throwing of glass bottles and resulted in eight people suffering injuries. And now, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is investigating Brown for allegedly assaulting another victim. While a press release from the Sheriff's Department doesn't name the victim, E! reports that the victim was Frank Ocean, and that the fight went down in the parking lot of a their music studio on Sunday. RELATED: Oh, Goody: Chris Brown is Back on Twitter — PHOTO According to the press release, police responded to a call alleging that six males were fighting at a location along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, Calif., on Sunday. Upon arrival at the scene, witnesses said that Brown and the unnamed victim were fighting over a parking spot, and that Brown punched the victim. However, Brown and his crew had already allegedly fled from the scene before police got there. Now, police are investigating Brown for battery. • Late Night Last Night: Matt Damon Is ‘In Command’ of Kimmel’s 'Ship' – VIDEOS
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 25, 2013
Has a fake Hollywood feud finally been put to rest? Basically, since Jimmy Kimmel started his late night hosting duties, he has closed nearly all of his episodes with the words, "Apologies to Matt Damon. We ran out of time." But Thursday night, Damon finally decided not to let Kimmel "run out of time" and literally took over Kimmel's entire show, marking the first Damon appearance on Kimmel as an official guest. Kicking the show into action, Damon introduced himself and gave the show a new name. "Hey everybody. Welcome to tonight's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Sucks," he said. "I am your host, Matt Damon." Then Damon let loose on Kimmel, who sat tied up in a chair throughout the whole show. "Just for starters... is it weird to see a person with actual talent host this show?" Damon said. "I'm very excited to be here obviously. Jimmy has bumped me from his show 1,205 times. For 10 years, every night I wait in that green room, and every night, Kimmel says, 'Apologies to Matt Damon. We ran out of time.' I've been waiting for this moment for a long, long time. This is like when I lost my virginity, except this is going to last way longer than one second." "You know, every time I got bumped off this show, it left a mark," Damon continued. "But if you bump a man long enough, a night will come when he bumps you back. And tonight is that night, my friends. I am in command of this ship! Tonight, good triumphs over evil. I am Luke Skywalker and Kimmel is the Death Star, big and round and easily destroyed through his garbage hole." Damon had a few more jokes up his sleeve before the show officially got rolling. "Look at Jimmy over there with the gag in his mouth. You've never been funnier, my friend," he said. "Jimmy Kimmel is to late night talk show hosts what Magic Johnson is to late night talk show hosts. Hey Jimmy, did you hear the joke about Lindsay Lohan? Because I have. 1,205 times." Bam! Along with Damon taking the hosting role, a slew of A-list celebrities appeared on Jimmy Kimmel to help Damon along. Andy Garcia replaced Kimmel's loyal side-kick, former parking lot security guard Guillermo Diaz. Sheryl Crow also kicked band leader Cleto out of his spot. Robin Williams finished Damon's monologue. Damon's best childhood friend, Ben Affleck, stopped by to hold the cue cards. And Damon had other A-list guests stop by including Amy Adams, Demi Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Gary Oldman. Even Jennifer Lopez, Sally Field, John Krasinski, Robert De Niro, Don Cheadle, and Oprah Winfrey check in via a video to congratulate Damon on his new role as host. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • The Billboard Beats: Macklemore's 'Thrift Shop' Steals No. 1 from Bruno Mars
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 24, 2013
Bruno Mars has been holding onto his No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart for nearly a month now. But on Thursday, Mars was "locked out" of the lead position. Mars' single "Locked Out of Heaven" got bumped down by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' ridiculously catchy rap "Thrift Shop," featuring Wanz. "Thrift Shop" has been on the chart for 16 weeks, and is quickly moving up in the rankings. Last week, it moved from No. 5 to No. 2. The question now is whether "Thrift Shop" can hold onto No. 1 for longer than a week? Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie," featuring Jay-Z, looks like it may soon pose a big threat. Last week, the song made it's debut on the chart at No. 84 — and this week, it has jumped 80 spots and landed at No. 4! Check out the other songs that made it to the top 10 this week. • Michael Buble Announces New Baby with So-Cute-I-Could-Puke Video
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 24, 2013
Finally, someone has topped Jessica Simpson in the category of cheesy baby announcements. If you thought Simpson's "Yes, I'm going to be a mummy" tweet on Halloween of 2011 – accompanied, of course, by Simpson in a mummy costume — was the apex of so-adorable-you-could-puke pregnancy revelations, you thought wrong. Leave it to Frank Sinatra wannabe Michael Buble, 37, to topple Simpson's reign as the Queen of Cheese. On Thursday, Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, 25, announced that they are expecting their first child, and they did so by creating a corny mini-music video. The video begins with the text, "Mike, LU and... Mini Buble!!!" and then cuts to video of an ultrasound. Then, a sound graph of little kids cheering is layered on top. In case you didn't quite get it, the couple writes, "We're having a baby Buble!!!" in both English and Spanish (Lopilato is Argentine). The pièce de résistance: a snippet of Bublé's song "Haven't Met You Yet" plays in the background. Oy. We're happy for you guys, but... oy.  Bublé and Lopilato, who have been married since March 2011, have openly spoken about wanting to have kids. "I’ve said to her a million times I’d love to have kids,” Bublé told ET Canada in 2011. “But I always say to her, 'When you’re ready — when you feel like you’ve lived and you’ve partied and done all the things you want to do. When you’ve worked your butt off, then tell me.'” Apparently, the time has come.  <br> Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Late Night Last Night: Allison Williams and Jimmy Kimmel Try To Be Royals
By: Lindsey DiMattina Jan 24, 2013
Girls star Allison Williams had a good sense of humor way before she signed on for her starring role in the HBO hit series. In fact, prior to her Girls gig, Williams came out with a series of parody videos for Funny or Die — the infamous comedy video website started by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay — in which she pretended to be Kate Middleton. But on Wednesday night, Jimmy Kimmel questioned Williams' performance as the Duchess of Cambridge, all because he was not in the original videos starring as Prince William. So, to rectify the situation, Kimmel and Williams did a remake of "Will & Kate: Before Happily Ever After." In the remake, Kimmel seems to forget that the focus of this video is to poke fun at the Duke and Duchess. Instead, he targets the British culture as a whole making fun of English accents, food that is typical to the culture, and more. But halfway through the video, Kimmel starts getting lost on his references. He first confuses "Shrimp on the Barbie" as an English dish. Williams has to clarify that it's actually from Australia. Kimmel then quotes Madonna and insists that she "is British." This leads to an on-screen fight of who is right and wrong ending with Williams storming off and proclaiming, "I am done." Poor, misinformed Kimmel. Maybe he should have studied his pop culture references a bit more before including them in this skit? Lindsay Lohan and Lance Armstrong may have turned down offers from Dancing with the Stars this week, but if the show's producers went knocking on Heidi Klum's door, it might be a totally different story. On Wednesday night, Jay Leno asked Klum about her dancing skills. Well, instead of just giving a simple answer, Klum jumped up on Leno's desk to offer a demonstration. "Have you ever fallen trying to get on the table? Has that ever happened?" Leno asked. "No," Klum replied, "Because I got skills." Klum then climbed onto Leno's desk to show off her talent. "It's easy," she said. "You just get up. You have to make sure you have a good person holding your hand, and then you dance. You have to make sure you get a good stand." Watch Klum's skills below!
