  • Lifetime Cancels ‘Drop Dead Diva’ After Four Seasons
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 16, 2013 3:44am EST
There's no coming back to life after this. Lifetime has made the decision to cancel Drop Dead Diva after four seasons, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Despite the fact that the Season 4 finale attracted 2.76 million viewers, the cable network had to approach producer Sony Pictures Television for cost-cutting plans, and cancelation was the result. The dramatic comedy, which follows the fictional story of model Deborah "Deb" Dobkins, who dies in a car crash and comes back to life in lawyer Jane Bingum's overweight body, is series creator Josh Berman's second cancelation in less than two months. Back in November, Fox canceled his drama The Mob Doctor after low ratings. The Mob Doctor ended on Jan. 7 after a 13-episode run. For Drop Dead Diva, September marked its final air on television. The show, which starred Brooke Elliot, Margaret Cho, and Jackson Hurst, saw success in 2012 when reality starlet Kim Kardashian was cast in a recurring role. But now, that has come to an end. With Drop Dead Diva out of the picture, Lifetime still has a full slate including Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Client List, Army Wives, the upcoming Devious Maids, Dance Moms, Project Runway, and The Houstons: On Our Way. • Edward Furlong Arrested for Allegedly Pushing His Girlfriend
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 15, 2013 4:16am EST
Edward Furlong, once best known as The Terminator 2: Judgement Day's young John Connor, was arrested Sunday according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department's online records. E! reports that the Furlong was apprehended by law enforcements in the early morning hours after allegedly pushing his girlfriend. These aren't first reports that have involved the couple in a domestic dispute. Furlong was arrested in October for an alleged incident with his girlfriend at the LAX airport. In November, she again accused him of another domestic incident. Furlong even had an outstanding $30,000 warrant out for his arrest stemming from one of the two described allegations. On Sunday, Furlong was placed in jail with a $50,000 bond set. According to the online records, Furlong is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning for a hearing regarding his most recent arrest. • Inside the Golden Globe Parties: Six Secrets from Behind the Scenes
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 14, 2013 11:44am EST
While the party begins at the Golden Globes, it's not until after the last award is handed out that the real antics begin. Everyone who is anyone in Hollywood leaves the awards dinner and heads upstairs at the Beverly Hills Hilton to hit a string of ultra exclusive after-parties. And on Sunday night, the parties really got going. Mel Gibson and Lucy Liu were spotted tearing up the dance floor at the HBO shindig; Al Roker gave Giada De Laurentiis a piggyback ride at the Warner Bros. party; and Heidi Klum chowed down on french fries at the Weinstein event. The stars like to let loose and, occasionally, make fools of themselves. But, unfortunately for them, what happens at the Golden Globes after-parties doesn't stay at the Golden Globes after-parties. These are the secrets from past Globes parties that you probably have never heard before.   Six Golden Globe After-Party Secrets 1. Lindsay Lohan is a party crasher. In 2012, Lohan pulled a stunt and crashed the Weinstein party. "She was not invited. She just walked on in. Everyone was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe she just walked in," a party-goer who saw the whole event go down tells Hollywood.com. "She just came through the back and they let her in." Security didn't realize that Lohan wasn't on the guest list. "The security, when they see who it is, they just let them in," the source says. "It's Lindsay Lohan. They're not going to say no. They're assuming she's invited."  2. Certain actors like to hook up with journalists. "I've see a journalist go home with a celebrity," another insider tells us. "That tends to be a trend." And certain celebrity A-listers have a reputation as ladies' men. "You can spot the playboys," the insider says. "Wilmer Valderrama is known to be a playboy; Jeremy Piven is known to be a playboy; [and] Adrian Grenier, back in the day, he was known as a playboy. 3. Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard's put on a major PDA show. "It was when they were first starting to date and I wasn't sure if they had come out as a couple yet," the insider says. "Kate and Alexander were just going at in the main room. Not groping, but just hardcore making out." They were oblivious to the party around them. "They didn't care who was in front of them," the insider says. "They were just making out." 4. Ricky Gervais is pretty full of himself. "[One year] when he hosted, he held court. He had a table to himself and people were approaching him like he was the king," the insider says. "He wasn't leaving his table, people were going to him. He wasn't getting up." In not-so-surprising news, our insider adds, "He was kind of a d*ck." 5.The "rat-faced people of television" (as Amy Poehler and Tina Fey referred to themselves Sunday) party harder than movie actors. "When the caliber of celebrity is less, they tend to have more fun and let their hair down," the insider says. "You're going to find that the TV stars know how to party and have more fun than the big movie stars." 6. Where do people go for the after-after-party? Our insider says the party usually winds up at the Chateau Marmont. "The ones at the Hilton can get fun because people are already loose, but once you're out for that long anyway, most of them continue the night away," the insider says. For the Oscars, our insider says it's a bit different and that people usually wind up going to an infamous after-party thrown each year by one particular agent who will remain unnamed. And it's at this party that people get really crazy. "[The agent has] a big party at his house in the hills, and you [have] to get a security code or a secret code to get in," the insider says. "I was there in 2008, and it was the sh*t. Everybody was there. Every big name was there in young Hollywood and not behaving." Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. Celebrities like to party as much as the next person. So every year when the Golden Globes roll around, celebrities put on their party dresses and get ready to have a good time. Tossing back a few, or smoking a few like Aziz Ansari claimed to have been doing, the stars sure did seem to have a blast Sunday night at the 70th annual Golden Globes and at the after parties. They had so much fun that a few stars, including Kristen Bell, Eva Longoria, and Lena Dunham, decided to share some of their favorite moments on Twitter and other social media vehicles. For a woman in Hollywood, stepping out at a big awards show is all about making a statement. What a star wears is almost as important as the awards that are handed out that night. It was no different for the stars at the 70th Annual Golden Globes Sunday night, where celebrities stunned on the red carpet in their glimmering and gorgeous gowns. And for many ladies on Sunday night, it wasn't the sheen of their gowns that had people gasping, but their down-to-there necklines. Plunging necklines seemed to be the trend of the evening with everyone from Isla Fisher to Katharine McPhee putting it all on display. • Kate Middleton and Prince William ‘Delighted’ to Reveal Baby’s Due Date
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 14, 2013 3:22am EST
This upcoming summer is going to be a grand one in Great Britain as Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William will be welcoming their first born. The royal palace announced Monday that Middleton will be delivering her newborn sometime in July. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," the statement said, according to People. When Middleton's pregnancy was first announced back in December, the Duchess had been in the hospital battling severe morning sickness. But now, Middleton is doing a lot better. "The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month," the statement said. While rumors had been circling that the royal couple was expecting twins, the palace also confirmed Monday that only one baby is on the way. And while they confirmed that the baby is due in July — sharing the same birth month as Princess Diana, who was born July 1 — the palace also said that Middleton and William will not be releasing the baby's gender.  Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Evan Rachel Wood Is Pregnant: 'I'm Gonna Be a Mama'
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 11, 2013 7:48am EST
After vehemently denying pregnancy rumors in November, Evan Rachel Wood, 25, and her husband Jamie Bell, 26, are now taking it all back. Wood tweeted Friday morning, "Remember when i said, 'No baby on the way here' Well, I didnt know there actually was!" • Late Night Last Night: Tracy Morgan Sings Goodbye to His ‘30 Rock’ Castmates
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 11, 2013 6:19am EST
On Jan. 31, America is going to have to say goodbye to one of its favorite shows: 30 Rock. In anticipation of the series' final episode, the whole cast of the sitcom — Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBayer, and Alec Baldwin — all stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Thursday to discuss the end. While they all had a blast at the wrap party (apparently, Baldwin and Morgan hooked up), it's still hard for them all to say farewell. So Morgan decided to take a break from his usual comedic act and perform a special parting serenade for his friends. Of course, Morgan went with the mushy "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" by Boyz II Men. While Krakowski almost broke down in tears, it was unclear if she was crying because of having to say goodbye or the fact that Morgan just can't stay on key (though he wasn't as bad as Taylor Swift is when she performs live). • Late Night Last Night: Ryan Gosling Gets a Fan to Insult Conan, Repeatedly — VIDEO
By: Lindsey DiMattina January 11, 2013 5:33am EST
You can't watch a late night show without a laugh or two, and this Thursday night was no different. Ryan Gosling visited Conan O'Brien, and decided it was a grand idea to call an audience member on-stage to help him give O'Brien a hard time. "Can I give a little tip? I feel like it's going well," Gosling said to the girl — Linda — after she had been on stage for a few moments. "I think that there needs to be a little tension, like a little conflict." So Gosling created the conflict by feeding Linda absurd statements to say to O'Brien whenever he asked her a question. Round One: O'Brien: "So, you say you're from Westminster. Is that a nice town?" Linda: "I like your suit. Do they make it for men?" O'Brien: "No they don't!" Round Two: O'Brien: "So nice having you here. Have you been to a taping of this show before?" Linda: "You've got a big mouth, and you just like to run it." O'Brien: "This is the most hostile interview I have ever taken part in. Who the hell do you think you are?" Round Three: O'Brien: "We're going to talk about Gangster Squad. Are you excited about this? We've got a clip here... Anything else we need to know about this?" Linda: "Your bobblehead is anatomically correct." O'Brien: "What? My bobblehead is anatomically correct?" Linda: "Shut your big mouth." O'Brien: "You're never coming back. This was going so well with Ryan, and then you come here with your hate and your anger. You sicken me." But O'Brien must not have been too mad at Gosling because he ended showing the actor his special "string" dance. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat.
