  • Kate Moss: Naked, Gorgeous, and Nearly 40 for St. Tropez
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 09, 2013
Age doesn’t seem to be an issue for Kate Moss. Most women her age like to cover up, but not Moss. The 39-year-old English Model strips down to the nude in a new campaign for St. Tropez tanning products, proving that age is of no consequence for her. She only gets more beautiful as time goes on. Moss is the new face for sunless tanning company. "I’m so excited to be working with St.Tropez," she says. "I’ve been using the products since they started and it’s a really trustworthy, cool brand." And in nothing but her sun-kissed skin, Moss claims: "I always feel more confident with a St.Tropez tan!" She should feel confident with that body because the lady is hot! • Ottavio Missoni, Fashion Empire Patriarch, Dies at 92
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 09, 2013
The fashion world was rocked on Thursday when Italian designer, Ottavio Missoni, passed away. According to the Miami Herald, Missoni — who was the founder of the fashion dynasty known for its colorful, zig-zag patterns — passed away in Northern Italy at the age of 92. A statement from Missoni SpA says that the patriarch "passed away serenely" in his home in Sumirago, which is also the headquarters for the fashion label. This is the second sad event the Missoni family has had to deal with in past months. Earlier this year, Ottavio's son Vittorio, who was the CEO of the company, disappeared with his wife while in a small plane vacationing in Venezuela. Vittorio and his wife, plus the four others on the plane, were never found and the cause for the disappearance is still unknown. The senior Missoni founded his fashion label in 1953 alongside his wife Rosita Jelmini, who is still living. His daughter Angela acts as the company's creative director and his second son, Luca, works in a technical role for the company. Besides being known for his fashion empire, in his earlier years, Missoni was a renowned track and field star. He competed in the 1948 Olympics and specialized in running the 400-meter sprint and hurdle races. While Missoni claimed that he fell into fashion by accident, his name lives on through the empire he and his family created. The company's imperial designs have been seen on many of the world's A-List celebrities, creating a style that's no slave to seasons. • Bryan Forbes, 'Stepford Wives' Director, Dies at 86
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 09, 2013
Hollywood is mourning the death of English film director, screenwriter, and actor, Bryan Forbes. Forbes, who helmed The Stepford Wives in 1975, passed away Wednesday, May 8, at his home on Surrey, England. Forbes had been battling an illness prior to his passing. He was 86 at the time of his death. Forbes has a long resume for his work in the film industry. Besides directing The Stepford Wives, he also co-wrote the screenplay for Chaplin — the biopic about Charlie Chaplin's life, starring Robert Downey Jr. Forbes earned an Oscar nomination for co-writing The Angry Silence (1960), featuring Richard Attenborough.  Forbes made his film debut as a director in 1961 with Whistle Down the Wind starring Alan Bates and Haley Mills. He also directed King Rat, The Wrong Box, International Velvet, and Long Ago Tomorrow. But prior to writing and directing, Forbes started out his career as an actor. He appeared British films including An Inspector Calls and The Colditz Story in the 1950s. After that, he formed a production company with his buddy Attenborough.  In addition to his work in the film industry, Forbes was also a published novelist. He penned several books including The Soldier's Story, which was published last year. In 2004, Forbes was a Commander of Order of the British Empire for his contributions to the arts. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Nicholas Sparks Picks Matt Damon to Star in a Biopic Based on His Life
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 08, 2013
With 17 books already written and another one — The Longest Ride — scheduled to be released in September, it would seem like romance novelist Nicholas Sparks wouldn't have much time to do anything other than write. But, he earned his first official producing credit in February when his book-turned-movie Safe Haven arrived on the big screen.  "It was a lot of fun," Sparks tells "I’ve always been involved in the development process and the selection of the screenwriter and the director and had my hand in casting and all that, so it was fun." With Safe Haven, Sparks was quite proud of his leading actor Josh Duhamel's performance of his character Alex. "I thought he did an amazing job," he says. "It was tough character to play, and he really brought the character’s emotions to life with every scene that he was in. He really tried to bring a complexity to the character so he wouldn’t just be a boring suburban dad. He really tried to make this character come alive, and I thought he did an amazing job." Julianne Hough did pretty decent as Katie too. "The key is to really let the professionals do their job," Sparks says. "I thought she did an extraordinary job as well." Sparks has seen pretty astounding performances from actors in some of his past movies. "I think everyone would admit that there is a little bit of chemistry magic in The Notebook," he says. "It just really came to life on screen. And way back when, Rachel [McAdams] and Ryan [Gosling] were very new and hardly anybody knew who they were. I thought that they did a terrific job." Yes, Sparks has worked with some pretty talented actors. In fact, he has even written roles in the past with a particular actor or actress in mind for a character. "I did it for The Last Song because I knew that if that was going to be a film, that Miley [Cyrus] was going to be in it," he says. But more than writing about the characters, Sparks finds coming up with a new idea for an actual story the most challenging aspect of his writing. "It’s the creation or the conception of a new story," he says. "We all know what’s going to happen: You’re going to have a couple fall in love. We all know that’s part of what I do. It will be set in North Carolina. We understand that. But how do you write something so utterly different? How do you write something that if you had read back-to-back Safe Haven and The Notebook, you would not have thought the same author wrote them? Even though they had some certain familiarities, [it was] different structure, lengths, tone, point of view, character dilemmas [that set them apart]. Everything was different." In Safe Haven, Sparks attempted to vary this work by including a plot twist involving a ghost. “I got a lot of people tweeting, ‘Wow, I didn’t see that coming,' ‘What a terrific ending,’ and ‘Caught me off-guard,’" he says. "Most people liked it.” Sparks has made a great career as a best-selling romance novelist and as a successful screenwriter. So, like other great authors, one day, it might be interesting to see his own life turned into a big screen script. And if that does happen, Sparks would love to see Matt Damon cast as himself for the starring role. "He’s a terrific performer," Sparks says. "He’s about my age, and he’s about my height and everything." Sparks wants "someone high quality" and of course Damon is the perfect choice given that criteria. Safe Haven is now available on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD as of Tuesday. Plus, stay tuned for Sparks' upcoming book, The Longest Ride, which is scheduled to be released in September. • Kim Kardashian's Ex Reggie Bush Wins the Race to Parenthood: He's a Dad
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 08, 2013
Kim Kardashian has been complaining about wanting to start a family for what seems like years now, but when she dumped NFL star Reggie Bush in 2010, it seemed like she had to put that dream on hold. Then she married and divorced Kris Humpries and now, the reality starlet is finally on her way to getting her dream family as she is pregnant with Kanye West's baby. Call it revenge or just pure luck, but before Kardashian could welcome her sweet bundle of joy (or terror, depending on your angle), her ex, Bush, beat her to the finish line in the parenthood race.  Bush, a 28-year-old running back for the Detroit Lions, and his fiancee Lilit Avagyan welcomed the birth of this first baby Monday, his rep confirms to Us magazine. "Lilit gave birth to a beautiful baby girl," the rep said. The baby weighed eight pounds, nice ounces. While Kardashian is expecting her own little one to arrive sometime in July, it's completely conceivable that it bothers her that Bush — who reportedly cheated on her and caused their split — has found his own happiness. Bush wrote about his growing family back in April in a blog on the Detriot Lions' website. "I’m very excited. Very excited about the baby. It’s our first one and couldn’t have come at a better time," he said. "It couldn’t have come with a better person. Someone I really love and care about. It’s great. It really worked out perfect." Bet that made Kardashian frown at least a little bit. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Michael Jackson Accused of Molesting Famous Choreographer Wade Robson
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 08, 2013
Even death hasn't brought peace for Michael Jackson. Nearly four years after the infamous singer passed away, choreographer Wade Robson is accusing the musician of molesting him when he visited Jackson's home at Neverland Ranch as a child. According to court documents obtiained by TMZ, Robson — who is now 30 years old and has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Usher, and P!nk — is seeking money from Jackson's estate for the sexual abuse he allegedly endured as a child. Robson met Jackson at the age of five and reportedly had several sleepovers at Neverland Ranch, which allegedly continued until he was 14 years old. This accusation comes after Robson participated in Jackson's 2005 molestation trial. During the trial, he denied that Jackson ever abused him. But TMZ reports that Jackson's former housekeeper Blanca Francia testified during the case that she had seen Jackson in the shower with Robson when he was a eight or nine. All of this also comes after Robson showed such extreme devotion to the late singer. In 2003, he choreographed a "Tribute to Michael Jackson" on his MTV show The Wade Robson Project. And according to Us magazine, after Jackson's death, Robson also released a heartfelt statement. "Michael Jackson changed the world and, more personally, my life forever. He is the reason I dance, the reason I make music, and one of the main reasons I believe in the pure goodness of human kind," Robson said. "He has been a close friend of mine for 20 years. His music, his movement, his personal words of inspiration and encouragement and his unconditional love will live inside of me forever. I will miss him immeasurably, but I know that he is now at peace and enchanting the heavens with a melody and a moonwalk." Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • 'Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson: 'We're Trying to Get Out of This Without Acting Like Charlie Sheen'
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 06, 2013
It's hard putting your whole life on display in a reality show: your private life quickly becomes a public spectacle, fans recognize you when you walk down the street, and it's easy to get lost in the fame. But for one reality television family, it's all about remaining true to their roots and not go by the way of other famous attention-seekers. "We’re trying to get out of this without acting like Charlie Sheen," says Phil Robertson, star of A&E's hit reality show Duck Dynasty and author of Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander. "We’re trying to keep out sanity. We always tell each other, ‘Remember, you’re beginning to act like Charlie Sheen.' [And then we] back off a little bit," he tells  It's this very "sanity" that holds the clan together and also sets them apart from other reality TV families out there like the Kardashians or the Duggars. "It’s a functional family and they love one another," says the Robertson family patriarch. "The disintegration of the American family is a known fact, [so] we’re just trying to get people to love god, love each other, and not be so mean to one another." In fact, as fans often see on the show, the Robertson family spends much of their time bonding outdoors , leaving little time for television. Robertson himself rarely watches TV unless it is to check out something on the Weather Channel, the Military Channel, or to "catch a little Fox News from time to time." He says he had never even watched a reality show like The Real Housewives until A&E approached him about doing his own show. "A&E said, You aught to look at a few of them, Mr. Robertson, and just see what you think,'" he recalls. "I was not very impressed by them." But Robertson's eldest son, Alan, does like to watch one popular show (a scripted one, at that) with his mother, Mrs. Kay: The Walking Dead. Not unlike the characters on The Walking Dead, the Robertsons live on the rural side, depending on their 1,000 acre property to provide for their family. (Sound a little like Herschel's farm from Season 2, anyone?) So what would happen if Duck Dynasty were to ever crossover with The Walking Dead? Alan thinks if the actual Robertson family were to be written into the show, "we would be survivors. There’s no doubt about that because coming from a family of hunters, we know what it means to sort of serve on the wagons. And besides we wouldn’t be able to have any shaving stuff because that would be out the window, so the the beards would naturally fit in. You know?"  "We're living that life already," Alan says. "We're just waiting for the zombies to catch up on where we are." His father adds, "If everything goes south and there is a complete and total meltdown and an economic collapse, you would be trying to find people like us because you’re thinking, ‘They’re living large, eating well, and they are all still together.’ We would do well in that kind of environment, trust me." So, we know how they would fare on the small screen, but what about the big screen? Phil thinks it would be great to see Tommy Lee Jones cast as himself. "Grow some long whiskers... he would make a great me," he says. Alan would also like to cast Billy Bob Thornton play his father's crazy brother, Uncle Si. "He might do a pretty good job," Alan says. Note to any filmmakers thinking about making this happen: make sure to include those infamous Robertson family dinners. It's these meals where the Robertsons really open up to each other and connect as a family. "As a kid growing up in this family, we all sat down to eat and that's when we all sat around and talked about things," Alan explains. "That's where we learned about life. It's just a great conversation time." Phil says he would most likely invite Clint Eastwood to do a cameo in this dinner scene or to attend an actual dinner depicted on the show. "I’d like to have old Clint sit down with us, and take him on a duck hunt," he says. "I’d just like to do that with him because he seems like a pretty cool guy." Hey, a big screen adaptation doesn't seem like far-fetched idea considering Duck Dynasty was the no. 1 rated cable show for the month of April and their audience only keeps getting bigger. But no matter how much fame touches this family, they will always be the same grounded country folk that we have come to love over the past three seasons. "We were all real tight and we all loved one another before the show," Robertson says. "This [just] brought us closer." Brown was talking to the hosts of 2Day's The Kyle and Jackie Show, discussing his 24th birthday party plans when he revealed that he and Rihanna wouldn't be celebrating his birthday together. "I've actually got three birthday parties scheduled.
