  • Late Night Last Night: Conan O'Brien Wears Ke$ha Underwear
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 01, 2013
It's common knowledge that Ke$ha is all kinds of crazy, but on Tuesday night she proved her, uh, quirks, even more when the pop star visited Conan O'Brien and gave him a special present: a pair of underwear with her face on it. (Though, this seems like a stunt more suited for Ellen, where personalized underwear is the norm).  O'Brien wasn't at all put off by this present, though, as it's common knowledge that Coco is all kinds of awesome. In fact, he decided that he wanted to wear the underwear right then and there. So, he put them on in front of his live Conan audience. • Amanda Knox's 'Diane Sawyer' Special: 10 Quotes from Her First Post-Trial Interview
By: Lindsey DiMattina May 01, 2013
Nearly six years after an Italian court convicted Amanda Knox of killing her roommate Meredith Kercher during a study abroad program in 2007, Knox has finally opened up in her first interview. In 2011, her conviction was overturned. In March of this year, however, the Italian Supreme Court reversed her acquittal. Tuesday night, Knox and her parents sat down with Diane Sawyer for an one-hour ABC special to discuss everything that has happened over the past six years.  Knox's emotions poured out on the screen as she told Sawyer that she has nightmares about spending four years in an Italian prison. But she also hopes to one day visit her late roommate's grave to pay her respects to the Kercher family. 10 Memorable Quotes from Knox's first interview: 1. Prior to starting her study abroad program in Italy, Knox's sister made a video of Knox exploring Italy. Knox wishes she could go back and give some advice to herself prior to all of the horrific events. "I want to tell her not to be afraid of what's going to happen because what happened to me hit me like a train," Knox said. "And there was nothing I could do to stop it." 2. Knox talked about the night of Kercher's murder and spending the evening with her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. "November 1, we stayed in," she said. "And we had dinner. We watched a movie. We smoked. We had sex. We were together. We just hung out together." 3. Knox was the first person to discover Kercher's body the next morning, but only after she got home and showered. People criticized her for not noticing that something was wrong until after she finished her shower, as the door was open when she got home, and blood on the bathroom sink. "Well I had never before experienced anything in my life that was drastic," she said. "I didn't think, 'Oh my God, someone's been in here and murdered someone.'" 4. Knox acted strangely in the following weeks of the murder, leading people to assume that she was guilty. She now says that it was just how she reacted to the situation because she was terrified and angry. "I think everyone's reaction to something horrible is different," she said. "I felt very lost, very alone, and very vulnerable. My friend had been murdered and it could have just as easily been me. Somehow, she died in the house that we had been living, and it could have been me." 5. Knox has empathy for Kercher's family. "I want them to know their grief has my every respect, has the respect of my family, and we just don't want to... we don't want to invade their life and their grief," she said. "And I really want them to understand that my need for justice for myself is not in contradiction with theirs." 6. Knox wants to visit Kercher's grave. "She talked about how she wanted to be a journalist, like her dad. And she talked about her sister. And if that's all I can give them is this memory that I have of her to add to... all of theirs that they can carry with them when she's gone," she said. "[I hope] that eventually I can have their permission to pay respects at her grave." 7. Knox wants to totally clear her name. "I want the truth to come out," she said. "I want misunderstandings to be looked at. I would like to be reconsidered as a person." 8. And Knox wrote her book, Waiting to Be Heard, to explain how the past six years has changed her. "I have been in an experience where I thought everything that I had hoped for in my life was taken away from me, and I had to redefine what mattered," she said. "And when I think about the purpose of what I wrote, I think about what I would tell my little sisters about how to live no matter what's stopping you." 9. Knox is still sad over her friend's death. "I was stunned by her death, completely bowled over because it was unfair," she said. "She was my friend, and I lost a friend." 10. Sadly, the past six years have dramatically altered Knox. "My family was expecting the old Amanda who was — she makes goofy faces — which was the old Amanda back," she said. "And I'm not quite as chirpy anymore." Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Late Night Last Night: Rebel Wilson Dry Humped Jimmy Fallon
By: Lindsey DiMattina Apr 30, 2013
Jimmy Fallon just loves to play games, so of course his guest on Monday night, unabashed MTV Movie Awards host Rebel Wilson, was game for first one he threw her way. Fallon decided it would be grand fun to do an improv dance game, so he had Wilson draw the name of a fake dance out of a hat. Whatever name she drew, she had to get up and create a special routine for the dance name. First up, Wilson drew the "Mick Jagger Chicken" and she turned that one into an electric and erotic Egyptian dance. The girl, too, has moves like Jagger. Fallon then had his turn and pulled the "I Feel Like Someone's Behind Me." His moves consisted of a few slides and snapping of his fingers. Actually, those are sort of moves like Jagger, too. The last dance the two did together was called "The I'm Holding Too Much Eye Contact While Thrusting" and Wilson ended up dry humping and grinding up on the Late Night host during this bit. No kidding. See for yourself:    Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sutton Foster took the stage together. But the theater-loving stars came together Tuesday to announce the nominations for the 2013 Tony Awards. (They are the hosts for this year's show, after all, so it only made sense that these two would have the honors of making the big announcement.) • Jamie Foxx to Play Quvenzhane Wallis' Daddy Warbucks-Like Character in 'Annie'
By: Lindsey DiMattina Apr 29, 2013
Quvenzhane Wallis may have a new father... in Annie, that is. Jamie Foxx is reportedly in talks to star opposite Wallis in the Sony remake of Annie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Django Unchained star received an offer and is negotiating out a contract to reportedly play a character named Benjamin Stacks, who is supposed to be a variation of Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks from the original Annie. In the 1982 movie, Warbucks — a billionaire businessman and Annie's adoptive father — was played by Albert Finney. As of now, there is no description of how this role will be reinvented for the new film.  There is still a lot more casting that needs to be done for the musical comedy, which is scheduled to be released on Dec. 25, 2014. As of now, Sony has secured Will Gluck to direct the film and recently had writers Emma Thompson and Aline Brosh McKenna revise the script. On top of that, Will Smith and Jay-Z are tied to the film as producers. While Sony has yet to confirm if they are in fact in talks with Foxx, it seems a likely match as Foxx appears to be a favorite of Sony's. He's currently filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for the studio and stars in White House Down, which is scheduled to be released on June 28. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Leia in Action: Carrie Fisher Says She's Shaping Up for 'Star Wars: Episode VII'
By: Lindsey DiMattina Apr 29, 2013
Carrie Fisher and her reps sure do like to confuse Star Wars fans. In March, the actress — who starred as Princess Leia in Star Wars, Star Wars: Episode V  — The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars: Episode VI  — Return 0f the Jedi — said that she would be showing up in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. But then her reps recanted the statement saying that Fisher had been joking. Well, in another confusing twist of events, Fisher is again talking about appearing in the new Star Wars film, which will be produced by Disney. "I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before," Fisher reportedly said during a talk at Canada's Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo Saturday, according to the Calgary Herald. "I’m glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I’m really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything." Fisher isn't the only Star Wars alum who might be returning for Episode 7. Harrison Ford has hinted that he will be returning as Han Solo. Mark Hamill has also suggested that he appearing again as Luke Skywalker. Definitely confirmed, though, J.J. Abrams will be directing Star Wars: Episode VII. It is scheduled to be released sometime in 2015. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Jason Aldean Files for Divorce from Jessica Ussery
By: Lindsey DiMattina Apr 29, 2013
"Memory lane [is about to be] up in the headlights" quite soon for Jason Aldean. The country singer and his wife of 12 years, Jessica Ussery, have decided to end their marriage. Aldean filed for divorce from Ussery on Friday, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, People reports. On Thursday, Aldean's rep confirmed that the couple were having problems. "I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share with the press at this time," the rep said. "It's a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way." The divorce comes nearly six months after Aldean was pictured getting cozy with American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr. Aldean quickly issued a public apology saying, "The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys." But despite Aldean's apology, Aldean walked the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards without his wife or their daughters Keeley, 10, and Kendyl, 5 earlier this month.  Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. • Amanda Bynes Models Wacky Outfit in New Bathroom Video
By: Lindsey DiMattina Apr 29, 2013
Most people go into the restroom to have a moment of privacy, but not Amanda Bynes. She likes to use the powder room as her stage. Just two weeks after she posted a weird video of herself making faces in a bathroom mirror, Bynes has decided to again film herself in the restroom. Bynes may not be rolling her eyes around and pursing her lips in this new video — but the fact that she taped herself in the bathroom again seems a bit questionable. (Not to mention, Bynes' outfit choice seems to be a little off too — floral and camo don't exactly match.) Bynes has been pulling a lot of odd stunts like this lately. Besides this video and the last one, Bynes also seems obsessed with taking pictures of herself at the gym. And somehow, in between taking selfies, she has found time to shave half her head and threaten to sue the media for writing about her (like she hasn't given us enough headline fodder).  We've wondered before if Bynes is heading for a Britney Spears-like meltdown. Well, her behavior is not getting any saner, that much is clear. Follow Lindsey on Twitter @LDiMat. Victoria (Helen Mirren) returns to warn Moses that he MI6 has a hit out on him during this mission. And joining the crew, Mary-Louise Parker as Sarah Ross, learns that she can't handle a gun.
