Ask not what you can do for your country but...what you can do to promote Bill O'Reilly's media empire. The first image of Rob Lowe as John F. Kennedy in the two-hour National Geographic Channel movie, Killing Kennedy, based on the book by Bill O'Reilly, has been released. The movie, which documents the circumstances surrounding JFK's assassination, will air this November in time for the 50th anniversary of his death. And in the first image we've seen of Lowe as the late president, he's striking an appropriately reverent pose. Actually, it's based on Kennedy's iconic presidential portrait. Check it out.

Superman has arguably had more reinventions than Madonna. First and foremost, he was a comic book god, an immortal alien from another world... even if he initially could only leap really high — not fly — when he made his debut in Action Comics #1 in 1938. Then he made the jump to movie serials, TV, and finally 1978's Superman: The Movie, with Christopher Reeve donning the iconic S. That film kicked off what we know as superhero filmmaking, even if it looks and feels very, very different than the kind of Spandexed storytelling that dominates tentpole movies this summer — including Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan's dark, gritty reimagining of the character, Man of Steel, in which Henry Cavill plays Clark Kent.
Superman fan Aaron Goins (@avgoins), and my co-host Eric Geller (@ericgeller) of The Force.Net (@TheForceNet), will join me, your host Christian Blauvelt (@Ctblauvelt), at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT in our Get Thee to the Geek Google Hangout to discuss the different incarnations of the character and how Superman's creators have — or haven't — succeeded in continuing to make him relevant through the decades. I think we now know the answer to the question "Is Bald Matt Damon even more badass than Follicled Matt Damon?" In director Neill Blomkamp's Elysium (out August 9), the ex-Bourne plays a member of the unworthy underclass that's left behind on the polluted hellscape that is Earth while humanity's rich and powerful live on a cushy space station in orbit.
The representative of those wealthy overlords? A sinister, pantsuited Jodie Foster. But even if Damon's character has no money or hair, he certainly does possess the ripped abs and laser gun prowess that will be necessary for him to take on what appears to be Brave New World-caliber class inequality. Check it out.

There are a lot of funny moments in The Internship. But the biggest punchline, literally, may come from Harvey Guillen, who plays Zach, a beaten-down member of the Noogle team led by Max Minghella's evil Graham. If you've seen the movie, you know what we're talking about.
Harvey will be joining Hollywood.com's "Summer Movies: Burning Questions" Google+ Hangouts series tonight at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT to talk The Internship and what else is going on in his career, including his recent GLAAD Media Award for his role on Raising Hope. Tweet your questions to Harvey (@HarveyGuillen) and me, your host Christian Blauvelt (@Ctblauvelt), using the hashtag #HollywoodBurningQuestions. Hope to see you at 7:00 PM ET!

Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton face all sorts of supernatural threat in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. But Peter Stormare's Sheriff Berringer proves that ordinary humans can be as scary as any witch who lives in a candy house — even if said witch is played by Famke Janssen.
In an exclusive clip from the Blu-ray release of movie, in stores tomorrow June 11, Stormare talks about how he made his character over-the-top, yet still pretty freakin' scary. He credits the streak of darkness that runs through the original telling of the story by the Brothers Grimm. But maybe it's also because he and director Tommy Wirkola both hail from Scandinavia, where the sense of humor can be ask dark as a winter night. Check out the clip! When Lucasfilm announced that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would end with its Season 5 finale, fans were left in the lurch. What happens to Darth Maul? The last we saw, Darth Sidious was shooting gigajoules of Force Lightning into the tattooed, wannabe Sith. Or Cad Bane? He was last seen being hauled away in handcuffs to the Republic slammer. We're even curious about the fate of wry pirate leader Hondo. Not to mention that, though Clone Wars did address the all important question "Why isn't Ahsoka in Revenge of the Sith?" by showing that the Padawan walked away from a Jedi Order that she felt had lost its way, her ultimate fate is still up in the air. Imagine what her reaction will be when she learns that her master is Darth Vader! That could be one of the tantalizing Clone Wars loose ends Star Wars Rebels, the new animated series supervised by Dave Filoni set between Episodes III & IV, could address.
To talk about what we want to see from Rebels, and what dangling Clone Wars loose ends we demand to have wrapped up, TheForce.Net editor Eric Geller (@ericgeller) and special guest Amy Ratcliffe (@amy_geek), a writer for IGN and StarWars.com, will join me, your host Christian Blauvelt (@Ctblauvelt) for the latest installment of Hollywood.com's "Get Thee to the Geek" Google Hangout. Isla Fisher and Dave Franco, who play heist-minded magicians in Now You See Me are well aware that top-hatted conjurers haven't exactly been considered sexy in the past. Of course, the fact that they use their sleight-of-hand skills to rob banks and drown in rivers of cash breaks them out of goofy Burt Wonderstone territory.
So do Fisher's fetching leather gloves, the key style component of a female magician character she calls "anarchist, fierce, and sexy," even though Fisher also says "I don't see myself with any of those traits." Dave Franco's Jack Wilder even says in the movie, "We're going to be the first magicians to ever get laid!" So how did they go about making magicians sexy? Check out what Fisher and Franco had to say!

Tracy Morgan has landed his first comedy pilot since 30 Rock. And no, it has nothing to do with developing videogame porn. He's been cast as the lead in Death Pact, a series for FX about a once lazy, pot-dealing high school coach who becomes a war hero and unleashes a punishing new self-help regiment for three of his hard-luck friends and a down-and-out former student.
Death Pact was created by Rob Long (Cheers) and Tad Safran (The Long Weekend) and will be shot in New York and New Jersey this summer. If picked up, it could air on FX as soon as this fall.

Well, here's an early contender for the title of "Feel Bad Movie of 2013." Scenic Route stars Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler as two life-long friends whose relationship is, um, tested after they're stranded together in a desert. Unexpected fault lines in their friendship rise to the surface and eventually erupt into homicidal violence.
But even with the bond between Duhamel and Fogler's characters being strained to the point of psychosis, the scariest thing about the movie, directed by brothers Michael & Kevin Goetz from a script by Awake's Kyle Killen, has gotta be Duhamel's freaky, grease-stained mohawk.

This is the kind of conspiracy theory Reddit was made for. On Sunday's episode of Mad Men, "The Better Half," Jessica Paré's Megan Draper wore a white T-shirt with a big red star. I know, you all thought at first that she's a big fan of Macy's! But, actually, it was a reference to the T-shirt tragically-murdered actress Sharon Tate wore for a 1967 Esquire magazine photo shoot. Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant confirmed on Twitter that this was "no coincidence," after the daughter of the Esquire photographer who snapped that photo pointed out the similarity.
Two years after that photo was taken, Tate, then eight-and-a-half months pregnant, was brutally murdered by the Manson family. A whole thread on Reddit has sprung up wondering whether this is some grim foreshadowing on Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner's part for what may ultimately be Megan's fate on the show — especially given all the references in recent episodes to rising crime rates in 1968 New York.
But if Megan's meant to be an avatar for Sharon Tate, does this mean her husband Don Draper (Jon Hamm) is symbolic of Tate's husband Roman Polanski? It would certainly fit, since both Polanski and Draper are tireless skirt-chasers with a flair for kinkiness — and even criminality. Something dire may be on the horizon for Megan, but Don may be in trouble as well. Maybe he'll finally suffer the consequences of his sexual improprieties as Polanski did after pleading guilty to rape in 1977 and being an exile from America ever since. It'd be a fitting comeuppance for horndog Don.
Unless we're reading this all wrong and that woman who invaded the Draper's apartment in "The Crash" was supposed to be Charles Manson?
