7 Celebrities Who Were Stabbed & Survived

There’s no doubt that being a celebrity comes with certain perks in life. People know your name, they want to take pictures with you, and they want to give you free stuff. On the other hand, being a celebrity also means you risk opening yourself up to all the crazy people in the world. This means having creepy stalkers, random people want to pick fights with you, and lunatics want to stab you. Fortunately, not all attacks on celebrities end up as a tragedy in the obituaries. Here are 7 celebrities who were stabbed & survived!

Although Sean Bean is known to have a short life expectancy on screen from his roles in Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings, he's actually quite the tough guy in real life. Back in June 2011, Bean was attacked outside the Hill Bar and Brasserie in Camden, North West London. At the time, he was spending time with Playboy model April Summers when a passerby made rude comments about her. Bean challenged the man and the man attacked Bean.

According to witnesses, Bean was punched in the face and stabbed in the arm with a broken glass. Despite his injuries, Bean declined to go to the hospital to receive medical attention. However, he did accept a first aid kit from the bar staff. Then he just went back inside the bar to have another drink like a boss.

Steve Buscemi, who is known for his roles in Fargo, Reservoir Dogs, and The Big Lebowski, also survived being stabbed. In April 2001, Buscemi was involved in a brawl at a bar called Firebelly Lounge in Wilmington, North Carolina along with actor Vince Vaughn and screenwriter Scott Rosenberg. Two local men apparently picked a fight with them after one of their girlfriends began talking to Vaughn.

In the ensuing scuffle, Buscemi was stabbed in the jaw, throat, arm, and above the eye and was sent to the emergency room. Fortunately, the police were able to break up the fight. A man named Timothy Fogerty was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon for knifing Buscemi.

Anwan Glover, known for his role as Slim Charles on the TV series The Wire, was stabbed at a D.C. nightclub called Cafe Asia in August 2014. He was on the second floor of the nightclub when a man punched him. When he turned to face the first attacker, a second attacker hit him on the back of the head and he was knocked to the floor. He was then kicked multiple times until he heard someone shout, "He has a knife!" and then he felt a sharp pain in his right side.

He was sent to George Washington University Hospital and was treated for a laceration to the torso. Unfortunately, this was not the first time he experienced violence. According to The Washington Post, Glover's brother died in a shooting in 2007 and Glover has stated that he was shot 13 times in his youth.

After the fight broke up, Clanton was the only one found injured having been stabbed in the right side of his torso and buttock. He was sent to John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment. According to Clanton, he was just trying to get out of the way and past the guys who were involved. Unfortunately it just escalated from there.

Unlike the previous bar brawl knifings on this list, stuntman Jeff Chase was stabbed while filming a scene with actor Jimmy Smits for the TV series DexterSmits had believed he was using a prop knife but had somehow found a real knife on set and proceeded to stab Chase. The bad news was that Chase could not warn Smits that he had a real knife because Chase was bound in Saran Wrap and had duct tape covering his mouth for the scene.

The good news was that Chase was wearing a small piece of plastic over his heart which protected him when Smits attempted to puncture him with the knife. Although Chase felt like he had been stabbed in the heart, he walked away without a scratch.
