If Amanda Bynes is, in fact, just one big piece of performance art, then she’s extremely devoted to the craft: the All That star turned social media vigilante has been reportedly arrested for an episode that involved marijuana use and, in a turn of events more uniquely Bynesian, the throwing of a bong out of her 36th story window in Midtown Manhattan.

NBC News reports that a doorman caught Bynes smoking pot in the lobby of her apartment building on Thursday night and proceeded to call the police — enforcements arrived to find Bynes in her apartment upstairs, noting the distinct odor of marijuana and catching her in the act of attempting to obscure evidence by throwing a bong out of her window. As a result, Bynes was apprehended and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, and reckless endangerment.

Officers brought Bynes to Roosevelt Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, and then to a New York police station for processing. Bynes is believed to have spent the night in Manhattan central booking and is expected to appear in court on Friday.
