Andrew Dice Clay Recovering After Doctors Discover a Blocked Artery

Andrew Dice Clay is recovering at home after having a stent fitted following the discovery of a “partially blocked artery”.

The 60-year-old actor, who can next be seen in Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born, checked into hospital in Las Vegas last week for dehydration and exhaustion. However, once there, tests conducted by physicians showed that he had a blocked artery that needed tending to.

“He thought he pinched a nerve at the gym,” his representative told People.com. “But once at the hospital he was told he had a partially blocked artery and underwent a stent procedure.”

Both Cooper and Lady Gaga, who takes on the lead role in the upcoming musical remake, reached out to their co-star following news of his hospitalization. And after having the procedure, Clay is now “stable and resting comfortably with his family at his Vegas retreat”.

“It’s a necessary break from his grueling touring and shooting schedule,” the spokesperson added of Clay, who also stars in Showtime comedy series Dice.
