Backstreet Boys Team Up with Old Navy

If the resurgence of neon didn’t make it obvious enough, here is more proof that what’s old is new again. Not that we’re calling anyone old!

According to the Huffington Post, the boy band made famous in the ’90s, the Backstreet Boys are teaming up with clothing company Old Navy for a new commercial and concert in the park.

Though this is not the first time the group — which includes Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Howie Dorough — has gotten back together since forming the band in 1993. At the end of August, the five guys joined up again for a performance on Good Morning America to announce a 2013 album and coinciding music cruise.

Their collaboration with Old Navy kicks off on Friday when the musical group will play a free concert in New York City’s Bryant Park, in honor of the brand’s “Rockstar Jeans” fashion show. They will follow it up with the TV commercial on Wednesday debuting the new line of denim.

But they are not the first blasts from the past to agree to sing for their supper. Check out some other famous ’90s stars who also took the Old Navy gig.
