BTS tie Justin Bieber’s Social 50 chart record

BTS have tied Justin Bieber’s record for the most weeks at the top of Billboard’s Social 50 chart.

The K-pop band have landed a 163rd week at number one on the list, which ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Wikipedia.

BTS first topped the Social 50 in October 2016 – almost six years after Bieber first hit number one.

The Baby singer last topped the chart in July 2017.

Bieber is expected to return to the summit next month (February 2020), around the release of his new album.
