Cameron appointed new British Prime Minister

The 43 year old becomes the youngest British leader in over 200 years.

Cameron’s Conservative Party won the most seats in last week’s (ends07May10) general election, but not an overall majority.

Outside his new Downing Street home in London moments ago, Cameron confirmed he has reached an agreement to form a coalition with the Liberal Democrats leader Nick Clegg.

Cameron’s appointment, following a Tuesday evening (11May10) meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, will bring new life to Downing Street – the politician and his wife Samantha are expecting their third child in September (10).
