Catherine Zeta-Jones has teamed up with bosses at British footwear brand Butterfly Twists to create a new vegan shoe line.
The venture will launch via the actress’ lifestyle brand, Casa Zeta-Jones, and will serve as Catherine’s first expansion into footwear.
“I’ve always had a passion for fashion,” she says. “I learned to sew from my nana and my mam and was always designing and creating something new. Shoes are a natural extension of that, and something I’ve always wanted to design.
“I love their (Butterfly Kisses) brand and knew I could collaborate with them on something really fresh and different. They are global, virtually in every country, and that was also important to me, so Casa Zeta-Jones could have a far and expansive reach to women everywhere.”
The Chicago star adds: “My husband is always saying, ‘How many pairs of shoes do women need?’ My answer is, ‘Are there ever enough?’ Like every woman I love shoes! Flats, heels, sneakers I love them all!

“I hope women will find that these are their ‘go to’ shoes. They are really comfortable but have style and are unique. These are shoes you can wear to the store and out to dinner. They are versatile and classic at the same time.
“Butterfly Twists is a vegan brand too. Vegan materials are so advanced and luxurious now it is difficult to tell the difference between real leather and vegan leather. I know that it’s an important consideration for many women and I’m happy I can create something that is sustainable without sacrificing style.”
