Environmental activist Greta Thunberg to headline new series

Teen environmental activist Greta Thunberg is teaming with bosses at the BBC for a new show chronicling her journey into adulthood.

The series will also follow the 17-year-old’s high-profile campaign against climate change and feature interviews with experts on the subject, while offering up a glimpse behind the scenes as Thunberg prepares for public appearances and speeches.

“To be able to do this with Greta is an extraordinary privilege, getting an inside view on what it’s like being a global icon,” executive producer Rob Liddell said in a statement.

Thunberg is also set to be the subject of the forthcoming Hulu documentary, called Greta, later this year (2020).
